– The framing of Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’ victories as a model for rural districts is a bit strange to me. She did better in the Portland suburbs than the rural parts of the district.
– Right to repair is law in Washington.
– More to every type of housing, including flats.
– Call your legislator or member of Congress.

The Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally gets together tonight, as usual. Have something political on your mind? Stop by and tell us about it.
We meet tonight and every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. You’ll find us in the back room of the pub or, maybe, out on the back patio. We start at 8:00pm.
Chapters of Living Liberally are all over the place…if you can’t make it to the Seattle chapter, stop by another chapter near you.
Cheers,
Darryl

This story on the strippers bill of rights is very interesting. It seems like the legislature may have to revisit some things. The worst excesses of strippers losing money on a shift are over, but strip club owners seem like pieces of shit.
Maybe some sort of collective ownership that cuts them out is a way to go in the future? I don’t know, that’s not helpful in the here and now.

If it’s Friday, it’s Carl has too many tabs open and is sharing some with you! Only realized after assembling them that it’s even more Seattle focused than usual.
– Joe Mallahan is running for mayor again. Hard no thank you in the primary.
– I don’t know enough about the Bar’s rules to know what will happen with Judge Pooja Vaddadi’s complaint, but Ann Davison seems to have acted unethically from a moral standpoint.
– Finally, Seattle elected officials do what the public most wants: Self dealing.
– And hey, the people spending big on Sara Nelson are who you think they are.

Good morning. I think it’s allergies since an antihistamine helps but I have been feeling gross for the last few days. So this may be even less coherent than usual.
But! I do want to say: It’s filing week. And you know what that means. You, yes you: You can run for office. Lots of local offices and people like you, but critically not you yet are putting their name forward.
