Other than opening day, I still have not taken the 2 Line on the Eastside. But, now it’s connected. You can catch a train in Downtown Seattle and get North, South, and East out of the city without transferring. New stations opening. Less car dependence for everyone.
The future looks pretty great for the region. For connectivity. For ditching the stress of driving. It has come a long way since I was a suburban kid who had to take a winding bus to get Downtown. I can only imagine what 10, 20, 30 years hence looks like if we have the political will to keep up the momentum.
