One good thing about last week’s BC Legislative Election, it was quick, no prolonged campaign, although the frequent confidence votes count as an ongoing campaign I guess. Another to the list of own goals of Canadian parties calling an election and it backfired. Although throwing Campbell in 93 in there shouldn’t count, it was actually a late call, at the time it was 5 year term if the party secured a majority and Mulroney had been re-elected overwhelmingly in 1988.
