– Finally, Seattle elected officials do what the public most wants: Self dealing.
– And hey, the people spending big on Sara Nelson are who you think they are.
Good morning. I think it’s allergies since an antihistamine helps but I have been feeling gross for the last few days. So this may be even less coherent than usual.
But! I do want to say: It’s filing week. And you know what that means. You, yes you: You can run for office. Lots of local offices and people like you, but critically not you yet are putting their name forward.

The legislature adjourned Sine Die over the weekend. Some stuff passed that even recently seemed impossible: Rent stabilization, even if it’s not as far as I would like, and parking reforms especially seemed like impossible tasks just a few years ago.
And yet. And yet. Without a wealth tax, the budget is still cuts heavy. Shame.
I am still going to tell you to write to your legislator, but things aren’t as urgent now that the session is over.
