    Got off work early, and didn’t know there was a power outage in my neighborhood. The LINK Operator said that the elevators were out at Mt Baker, but that happens occasionally. The train wasn’t affected, separate from the grid, but I do wish Sound Transit had taken suggestions on Metro on hiding the substations. LINK, some are in plain sight, the trolleybuses, in my neighborhood, one substation on rr 7 is at a sewage substation (makes sense, when Metro re-electrified the route, they also operated sewers), Columbia City is at a former SCL office. Lander/Beacon Hill on Rt36, behind a bakery.

Schulman and Burks can be seen at the front of the group walking forward to enter Kirkland Hall as the officer attempts to stop them.     Explain how you would do that. Most of Afghanistan is mountains and deserts. The country has hardly any roads. It has few cities and much of the population lives in scattered tiny villages (see link below). When the Soviets invaded in the 1980s, many Afghans fled to neighboring Pakistan, and no doubt would do so again; will you bomb refugee camps there? The USSR and US did bomb the shit out of Afghanistan; so, your homework assignment is writing an essay on why both these countries lost their wars in Afghanistan despite extensive bombing campaigns. For extra credit, write another essay on why the U.S. lost the Vietnam war despite dropping more bombs in Southeast Asia than it did in all of World War 2.

The KOMO story (linked below) says he “was confronted this week at the school by … a conservative activist group,” but the accompanying video shows him talking to the activists outside, not even in the school parking lot, but on a public sidewalk where anybody has a right to say anything. So he isn’t exactly saying this stuff to kids in a classroom. I’m not sure what Seattle Public Schools policy is about teachers expressing their personal opinions on their own time off school premises, but I kinda doubt they can fire a teacher for being an asshole unless he does it in the classroom or at least on school grounds.
