– Not this one either.

– The Tea Party are the people to clean up government.

– Its a short-sighted point of view to say that none of us alive today were responsible for expelling the Chinese, stealing a canoe or killing Leschi, so why should we go through the process of honoring the better choices our ancestors could have made?

– GOP: We support the troops. No, not the gay ones.

– The movement…the struggle will be there when you come back…and it needs you strong, solid, and ready to get set and go.

– This police officer pepper spraying an Occupy Wall Street protester is a disgrace.

– At week 3, we can all sigh a bit of relief that the Seahawks have at least won a game.

    LMAO! Check it out kids:

    The Mittster loves cheap labor!

About 6 miles away in Copado, a 37-year-old man who recently returned to Guatemala from the United States told a similar story, describing long days tending Romney’s 2 1/2-acre grounds.

“They wanted that house to look really nice,” said the worker, who asked to remain anonymous. “It took a long time.”

    http://hotlineoncall.nationalj.....team-s.php

But according to scary Rick Perry, the Mittster is “heartless” when he wants the kids of undocumented immigrants to pay out-of-state tuition rates at state Colleges!

YOU CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP! LMAO!

Seems like you ought to be a bit more concerned with today’s developments on the Obama Administration’s scandalous Operation Fast & Furious. Public documents clearly show the original Holder/Obama denial is bullshit.
    http://www.foxnews.com/politic.....ents-show/

Between Fast & Furious, Solyndra, ObamaCare, lack of leadership and general stupidity…Obama’s only hope for re-election is to spend a $1 Billion deflecting attention from his record and try to destroy his opponent. I suppose it could work. Pretty sad commentary on what our system has devolved into though, isn’t it.
Anyway, continue to ignore the main issues Obama must answer for here at HA as you preach to the choir. Doesn’t mean they won’t be critical during the campaign.
And watching Obama push his “jobs” plan while fund-raising is comical. Even Democrats are against it. Obama is trying hard though to appeal to all the folks who don’t want jobs, isn’t he.

Um… Have you seen the people running against Obama? Mittens and Huntsman are the only ones with the slightest chance of beating Obama and policy wise* they’re closer to Obama than they are to the Tea Party. So, even if Obama loses, people like you will still lose.

*As in what they did when they were in office, not what they’re spouting at the hight of the silly season. And you have to remember that while Utah is a conservative state SLC’s actually kinda liberal, voting for people like Rocky Anderson for mayor, twice.

Anderson was first elected as mayor in 1999 and was reelected for a second four-year term in 2003.[citation needed] Although the office of mayor in Salt Lake City is nonpartisan, Anderson was a registered Democrat, and much of his platform is that of a liberal Democrat. While Utah generally votes Republican in statewide and national elections, Salt Lake City is primarily Democratic in party allegiance.[5]

King County needs to oppose blightful massive energy wasting billboards from being forced in as Tacoma, Seattle and Bellingham have.

Feisty Tacoma and compliant King County face off with a billboard powerhouse

Loopholes in Seattle’s sign ordinance are brazenly exploited
    Posted Wed, Jun 15, 2011

The city is plastered with billboard-like “wallscapes” that break the law or stretch it in creative ways. After last year’s Russell Investments skyscraper-sign controversy, the broader ordinance is coming under review.

    By Eric Scigliano
Maybe it’s the water that makes people in Tacoma so feisty. Whatever it is, the King County Council ain’t drinking it. Tacoma’s schoolteachers persisted for 10 days in a strike that, wise or not, was anything but timid. And its city council last month delivered a defiant rebuke to Clear Channel, the national billboard powerhouse that has cowed, sued, and sweet-talked so many other municipalities into submission. It banned the digital billboards it earlier agreed to and beat the famously litigious Clear Channel to the courthouse to launch the inevitable court fight.

Meanwhile, the bold new electronic future is coming to this county’s roadsides. On Sept. 13, a County Council committee that three months ago had deferred a measure to allow the image-shuffling, television-like electronic signs quietly considered an amended version. Councilmembers Larry Phillips, Jane Hague, Pete von Reichbauer, Bob Ferguson, and Joe McDermott voted unanimously to approve it, clearing the way for full council approval this coming Monday.

@1 Maybe Mitt figures they can afford out-of-state tuition if they work 16-hour days at his mansion for $3 an hour.

Perry’s on top of this better than Mittens is. With the economy the way it is, today’s twentysomethings will be living with Mom and Pop until they’re 35 and not getting married and having kids until they’re in their 40s and 50s, so there’s going to be a huge demographic hole in the U.S. population. You’ve heard of Gen X and Gen Y? Well, how about Gen Zero? A whole decade when no babies are born? Perry figures we have to let these foreigners in and educate them or there’ll be nobody to support Social Security in his old age.

    Go Rahm!

(Reuters) – New Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants to make Chicago the most bike-friendly place in the United States, building on a long pedigree of bike advocacy in the city that dates to the 19th century.

In 1897, mayoral candidate Carter H. Harrison II successfully campaigned as “the cyclists’ champion.” Bike-riding mayor Richard M. Daley expanded on-street marked bike lanes to 115 miles in his 22 years in office.

Emanuel plans to outdo both Daley and other bike-friendly U.S. cities.

In four years, he wants to create 100 miles of protected bike paths — not just painted lines on the street but paths separated from car traffic by posts or other dividers. By next summer, he wants the city’s first large-scale bike-sharing program, starting with 3,000 bikes.

    Republicans Are Liars Dep’t

Let’s skip over the deal that was struck to avert a government shutdown and go straight to the question of whether GOP Rep. Eric Cantor is a liar.

” … [Sen.] Mary Landrieu, D-La., unleashed an unusually personal attack on House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., saying the weeks-long controversy started when he said, ‘Before we can provide [disaster] help we need to find offsets in the budget.’ She called that ‘the Cantor doctrine’ and said the controversy ‘could have been avoided if Cantor had just said, “I’m sorry, but I made a mistake.” But instead of saying that, he doubled down,’ she said.

“Laena Fallon, a spokeswoman for Cantor, responded that the Virginia Republican had ‘never said the things she alleged, he has only suggested that we ought to provide disaster aid dollars to those who need them in a responsible way — something that she’s voted to block despite the urgent need.’

“In fact, House Republicans insisted that any new disaster aid for the expiring budget year be offset by cuts elsewhere in the budget ….”

Now this will get really interesting especially if all the trumped up screaming about the “truths” in the book by the leftist media prove to be a bunch of lies…

“The Rogue” has received largely negative reviews from mainstream media outlets, which have criticized McGinniss’ book for its reliance on thin sourcing. Janet Maslin at The New York Times said that sections of it were “too nasty to be lucid.” Nick Gillespie at The Washington Post wrote that McGinniss “serves up any and all rumors and calumnies about Palin, the more salacious the better.” Slate reports that the book may have backfired on its author by creating a wave of sympathy for Palin; the result of all the unconfirmed accusations mean that “even regular critics feel a bit sorry for the former governor.”

ABC NEWS! I hope she goes after him and Random House like Bradlee Dean sued the moron Rachel MadCow How do you know a liberal lies? Watch them on TV.

GOP Targets What’s Left Of Employer-Paid Healthcare

Not content to have only 50 million low-income workers uninsured, Republicans are now setting their sights on eliminating healthcare for the middle class:

“Employer healthcare tax breaks would be replaced with refundable tax credits for individuals under a proposal offered on Tuesday by House of Representatives Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan.

“In a speech to Stanford University’s Hoover Institution in California, Ryan said his measure, which would effectively dismantle the way most Americans receive medical coverage, should be part of any Republican plan to replace President Barack Obama’s healthcare overhaul. …

“Eliminating healthcare tax breaks for business would likely encourage most companies to drop their employer-sponsored plans. That was an argument Republicans used against Obama’s healthcare overhaul.”

Roger Rabbit Commentary: There they go again! GOPers campaigned in 2010 by accusing Democrats of trying to cut Medicare benefits for seniors. After they won control of the House, they tried to eliminate Medicare. And now they’re going after employee health benefits for workers who still have them.

If we’re going to eliminate employee health benefits, the first group of employees who get their employer-paid health benefits eliminated should be the congressmen who vote for this piece of shit.
