    Tim Miller is okay. In a way I sympathize with him. Unlike Liz Cheney, I see both his confusion about his former political party and his motivation for calling it out as basically well intentioned and honest.

    Washington County in Pennsylvania is a suburban county outside of Pittsburgh with about 140,000 registered voters. It’s about 45% Republican and about 40% Democratic. It’s about 90% white due to a well entrenched history of red-lining that persisted into the 1980s.

    In April of this year a Republican County electoral commission adopted a new rule to record all mismarked, defaced, or otherwise spoiled mail ballots into the Pennsyvania Secretary of State “SURE” system as having been “RECEIVED” by the county, even if those ballots were to be set aside for said defects. This would result in those voters being unable to know that their mail ballots had become defaced (for example in the newly consolidated and broken mail sort center ordered by Trump’s handpicked Postmaster General Louis DeJoy) and were otherwise being set aside, eliminating those voter’s opportunities to cure their damaged mail ballots.

    After voters in Washington County sued, in August the trial court decided in favor of the voter plaintiffs and granted preliminary injunction ordering the county to set aside the rule. State Republicans hoping to reduce turnout and voting appealed the trial court ruling and on September 24th the Commonwealth Court affirmed the lower court and ordered the county to directly notify voters if their mail ballot had been damaged by Louis DeJoy and was being set aside and to give those voters an opportunity to cast a provisional ballot. The Republican National Committee and the PA Republican Party, again hoping to eliminate voting by “the wrong people” appealed that ruling to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Yesterday the Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.

    Petitioner briefs due Wed. Respondent briefs due Friday. No reply briefs. No oral. The court sits at five Democrats and two Republicans. That’s largely because people worked their asses off to defeat big pushes from Republicans trying to take over the court so they could enact Project 2025 restrictions on individual human rights.

    Well, as many here may know I workout with a Personal Trainer. After moving to Delaware I still remotely connect once to sometimes twice a week, with one of the trainers from NYC. He is from the Country Georgia, and he became a US Citizen about a year ago, he is only in his early 30’s or maybe even younger – I never asked him his age, and if I did, I’d probably not retain the information, it would have just been conversation and nothing I’d want to retain.

    Anyways, he is a fan of The Lying Fuck Golf Cheater. In the past we have gone back and forth on issues. I know, probably should keep politics out of it. Yesterday, he sent me a Twitter (presently some other dumb name) post about The Fat Fascist Pig Nazi Butler rally wiht the caption (to paraphrase) that because of the size of the crowd that if The Fat Pig loses then it will be because Democrats cheated.

    Well, it is very frustrating to hear the disconnect with reality that this cult following has. So it lead to some exchange of texts back and forth. He knew I was getting upset and had enough of his bullshit. So he called me to verbaly speak to me, which he never to rarely has done in the past. My guess is that he was concerned about his revenue stream, because in part of the exchange I said to him “I am done”.

    So, I want to tell him that in the great words of a fat pig nazi fascist golf cheater, that he is “fired” and to keep what has already been prepaid in sessions. I’ve always told him that there is more important things in life than money.

    But I think there is a bigger lesson here for him to learn. So instead, I think I may tell him, that I am taking a break until after the election. And depending on the results then resume our training sessions, but only so long as the deviseness and the lying and the conspiracy theories stop. And that if he feels it is in his best interest that that be the case then he should work on his stupidity and the stupidity of the other cult members.
