The source of the information was 54-year-old employee at the store, White, also known as Dr. Jon McGreevey, authorities said.”
And his explanation for why he worked in an adult bookstore?
“White has appeared in a couple videos with Andy Kuhl, a Republican candidate for Baltimore County Sheriff, to detail how he exposed the alleged abuse,” the network reported. “He claims he got the job at the bookstore as part of law enforcement sting operation on the drug trade into Baltimore City.”

With the rail strike that was temporarily averted, would be a good time for Sound Transit to have a Plan B for SOUNDER, especially tge South line. Billions wasted for a transit source that can reasonably be used by way too few, and Railfan wants us to spend even more for a backup plan so that we can be ready when the unions decide to hold the taxpayers hostage.
[Edit: Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit probably would have written pretty much the same thing. Sound Transit is such an incredible waste that both the left and the right can agree that the taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill.]
EvergreenRailfan spews:
79)It would only be temporary, although railroad strikes are rare, last one was in tge 90s. I remember, going to Battle Ground for tge Rails and Vairs event put on by Corvair Club chapters in tge Northwest. Saw an idled UP freight sitting idle near Kalamazoo. It only affected Class Is, just like now. Passenger and commuter operators outside the NEC are always collateral damage. Now Chicago’s commuter rail operations usually get a court injunction because of the Northeastern Illinois RTA’s complicated structure, with METRA and CTA practically independent operators within the structure,. Then there is the track ownership among several railroads, although the Milwaukee and Rock Island District being directly owned by METRA, as well as the METRA Electric District. They’ve had a few, this is SOUNDER’s first strike, Probably would just dust off the plan for the Tacoma Trestle replacement, observed that one in action, a bus bridge between Puyallup and stations south. Plus, if freight railroads hadn’t cut staffing to the bone to appease shareholders, wouldn’t be in this mess. PSR had it’s merit’s with asset utilization, but greedy hedge funds heard about it,and suddenly 3-4 mile long freight trains became the norm.
As for tge Rails and Vairs event, it was put on by the Oregon chapter, one of it’s members was the operator of the Corvair Underground, a big supplier of aftermarket parts for the infamous Chevrolet product line. My dad gave him good business, there was a limit to how many hulks my dad could park in our driveway to keep his 65 Corvair Monza Convertible, and the rare 700 Station Wagon running. The former was my dad’s pride and joy, it was almost junk when he bought it, put a lot of effort fixing it up. We once let if fly out on the Olympic Peninsula, pushing it’s 110hp engine to tge Max. Didn’t have tge problems Nader said it had, but tge 65 was a quantum leap above the 60 model year.
Itronically,, the operator of the Corvair Underground was good at aftermarket parts, being a friend of 4449, which is all aftermarket in it, as they don’t make spare parts for a 1941 Lima GS-6.
EvergreenRailfan spews:
79)While LINK has its problems right now, there are no strikes allowed by Metro employees. Unlike with Class I railroads governed by the Coolidge era Railway Labor Act, Metro employees haven’t struck since the Seventies, as if contracts are rejected, under state law, arbitration is mandatory and binding.
Unlike you, my criticism of Sound Transit is ideas on how to make it better, but hard to compromise with somebody who doesn’t want it to exist. Would like Everett Transit to change bay assignments at Everett Station, the bus from Camino Island should not have the bay that allows it’s riders to cross platform transfer to SOUNDER N line trains. A choice stop, given to a system that doesn’t change fares.
EvergreenRailfan spews:
Meanwhile, got to get up early, Tilemageddon at Columbia City Station has single track operations between Mount Baker and the first switch south of Columbia City Station. Trains are only running 20 minutes south of Stadium Station. If it wasn’t for community pressure, plans were for 20 minutes headways Northgate to Angle Lake. Stadium makes sense for the turnaround, there is a holding track between the two main tracks just south of the platform, a little redundancy. Spotted the same configuration at Judkins Park Station. Tgey hope to have the work wrapped up this week, Seafair is back. If they use the reconfigured flight box from 2019, should be no I-90 closures. Thank Sound Transit for that.
Last week, only got delayed once, got an option if I miss tge train, the 48 bus. A result of civic activism forcing Seattle Transit to add a crosstown bus on 23rd Ave. Metro played with the route for decades, only to bring the route back to more or less what Seattle Transit started the route as in 1966, connecting the Rainier Valley with the U-District via 23rd Ave and Montlake. Tge city and Metro have plans to close the two wire gaps, between Rainier Ave and Dearborn, and E Cherry and E Thomas Streets. The tough part is siting two rectifier substations for trolleybusses. To NIMBYs, they would think it’s like SCL’s East Pine Substation, I’ve seen the existing trolleybus substations, they are about the size of a shipping container or a small shed, can be well hidden, in a building basement, an existing SCL property, under a freeway, or in the case of one on Rt7, a sewage pump station.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@79 Well I don’t see that his “backup plan” involves spending a lot of money. As far as I can tell, he’s talking about using tracks and equipment that already exist, so where’s the big expense?
Whidbey Island doesn’t have Seattle’s traffic problems. I don’t know how often you come here, but Seattle was heading for absolute gridlock. At times I-5 is a parking lot, and that was only going to worsen. Buses compete with cars for space on surface streets; the big advantage of light rail is it adds a lot of public transit capacity without using the streets. You can’t do that by adding more buses.
So the question is how much it will relieve traffic congestion and at what cost. Sound Transit lowballed costs, concealed the true amount of taxes by piling them on in stages, and opted for an incredibly expensive system. They got voters to approve it by flat-out lying to them about what they’d pay for it.
Seattle’s light rail is many times more expensive per mile than similar systems in other cities, which suggests mismanagement. It doesn’t save most people the costs of owning cars, because they still need cars.
Nor is it a panacea for Seattle’s traffic problems. A lot of people can’t use it, for example workers who have to take materials and tools with them. It doesn’t replace delivery vehicles, of which there are a lot more now. Most downtown commuters were already using mass transit. So, ST threw a lot of money at a problem they can at best only partially solve
And, as I’ve said before, even commuters using light rail need cars to get to the stations, and need parking there. I don’t see how a station can serve tens of thousands of riders when it has parking for only a few hundred cars.
Despite my criticism of ST and light rail, and there’s much there to criticize, I don’t see an alternative. The advent of remote working may help, and obviously is much cheaper than building more transportation infrastructure, but not everyone can work remotely and some employers of those who can don’t like the idea.
Bottom line, Seattle is so rich this city can afford it. People who can afford Seattle houses can afford the light rail taxes. My answer to whiners like PI who complain they’ll never ride it is they still benefit from the traffic congestion relief it provides. His car isn’t of much use to him if he can’t drive anywhere because the streets are so crowded that nothing can move.
At the end of the day, voters approved it, and it’s being built. Like the 2020 election, the issue has been decided. And like that issue, certain people are still complaining they were robbed, and probably will until the end of time, because they never learned to come to terms with things they disagree with.
As for you, since you don’t pay ST taxes, I’ve concluded that in your case bitching about it is a sport.
