Trump isn’t going to bring back factory or coal mining jobs. He isn’t going to solve the fentanyl crisis or make homes affordable. He isn’t going to make Americans healthier or wealthier. He isn’t going to make America safer and more secure in the world. He isn’t going to make America great again. He’s only going to make Americans poorer, less well educated, and less free.

Investors are already getting a big tax cut. Without any action by Congress, they will pay far less in capital gains taxes this year, because they will have far less capital gains.

Of course, this will blow a big hole in revenues, adding to deficits and making additional tax cuts even less defensible.

The Citadel was an all-male, all-white school until DEI came along, starting in 1966 when the first black student enrolled. The first woman was admitted to the Corps of Cadets in 1995, “after a two-and-a-half-year court battle,” but was forced to withdraw because of death threats against her and her family. Her parents’ home was even vandalized. The first woman to graduate from the Corps of Cadets was Nancy Mace, now a South Carolina congresswoman.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Citadel

She was, of course, a beneficiary of The Citadel’s DEI policies. Today, Rep. Mace reminded a constituent that she went through “blood, sweat, and tears” to graduate, proving that DEI only gets you an equal shot, it doesn’t get you through. To graduate, you still have to do what everyone else does.

Kudos to Nancy Mace for reminding us that DEI is all about equal opportunity, not special privileges.

Despite bullshit claims that it booked millions of pre-orders for its defective Nazi-Gremlin, Tesla now finds itself sitting on thousands of useless trucks sitting in inventory that it must pay security guards to protect from vandalism 24/7.. And in a sign of confidence in the brand’s dismal future Tesla has announced that the company will no longer accept its own cars as trade-ins.

Used Nazi-Gremlins now retain only 45% of their MSRP after the first year of ownership. Panicked owners of the defective trucks that have spent many weeks, and even months sitting in service centers for recalls and to fix a host of manufacturing defects under warranty are now quietly turning to their state lemon laws to force Tesla to take the trucks back.

Wisconsin has a state law that prohibits auto manufacturers from owning local dealers. Consequently, with the Tesla stores in the state, most Wisconsin buyers have had to travel to Illinois to take delivery. But after pouring over $100 million into a badly failed effort to buy the state supreme court in an off year, off season election last month, it looks like Tesla will be folding its Wisconsin tent next year.

If you think any part of Tesla’s market cap is justified by the “value” it has in prospective future tech, like robot taxis and robot semi trucks, it’s possible you are overestimating what taxi and truck drivers get paid.

Even if you were to believe Elmo’s silly claims about the capabilities of Tesla’s Full Self Driving tech (and you really should not*), at the end of the day operating a fleet of robot taxis or long haul trucks will cost only slightly less than conventional. The cost structure of operating a taxi service is not really bound up in paying this guy.

So instead of just pretending that robot taxis will revolutionize the taxi industry and transform how people get around, maybe we ought to look at the market caps of Uber, Waymo, and Lyft.

When Tesla finally made its long hyped and long delayed Nazi-Gremlin available in 2023, the most popular preorder was the tri-motor version promoted to sell for $70k with a range of 500 miles. At delivery the price had risen to $100k and the range had shrunk drastically to only 320 miles.

But while the prices exploded beyond those promised and stayed there, Tesla quickly began teasing an option to address the tiny, flaccid , impotent range. An accessory battery pack taking up one third of the truck bed, costing $16,000 and stretching the short range to a barely noticable 425 miles.

But after more than a full year of Nazi-Gremlin sales, with availability of the accessory delayed and rescheduled three times. the penis range extender is still not available. And this last week Tesla removed it as an available option.

I know AI is why Morgan Stanley is (was?) a supporter of TSLA share price in the last month. AI is a threat to radiologists (and to other physician specialties) and it’s moving very quickly.

I’m about to be forced to buy TSLA shares at a much higher price than they are currently trading for, unless I roll over the currently losing option trade (which I probably will do). If I do let the option exercise and have the shares put to me, it will be because of TSLA’s battery/charger division.

It’s useful to remind ourselves just how many companies threw in the towel on developing their own charger systems, and instead are contracting with Tesla to be able to use the Superchargers. It’s further useful to remind ourselves just how much money Democrats voted to spend on renewable energy, how much of that money has not yet been spent, and that the DJT47 administration can shift that money around to projects that will do the most good.

As I ponder whether to take the $8k loss by buying out the option or having the shares put to me so that I can ride the recovery, I’m comforted by the knowledge that only a couple of months ago some dude paid me $93 bucks per share for my willingness to sell 300 TSLA shares (which I did not own at the time) for $460 each, which was an up-front paid premium of $28k. That contract expires very soon.

In total the two premiums I was paid for these option contracts, one a winner and one a loser, will cover the cost of the TSLA shares I will be forced to purchase if I don’t buy out the losing option.

Anyone else get free TSLA shares lately? Other than Elon, I mean.

In addition to their XX chromosomes, what else does Welfare Queen YLB have in common with #CrookedHillary?

Ironically, the notorious liar may have been one of the only Democrats telling the truth when she defended Biden’s initial decision to stay in the race. She appears to have genuinely believed that Biden was perfectly healthy and capable of serving another four years. Hillary hadn’t spent much time with the president, but her own narcissism compelled her to sympathize with the octogenarian (and fellow) narcissist. She “saw herself in the Republican attacks and TV punditry focused on Biden’s condition,” according to the authors of Fight. “She certainly didn’t think there was anything wrong with him,” one Clinton ally said. “She is someone who has had her health questioned for twenty years and knows that this kind of stuff is bullshit.”

The morning after the debate in June 2024, Hillary leapt to the president’s defense. “The choice in this election remains very simple,” she wrote on X. “I’ll be voting Biden.” Hillary and her nominal husband, accused rapist Bill Clinton, privately urged Democratic donors to stick with Biden, according to a CNN report published on July 20, 2024. Biden dropped out the next day.

So #CrookedHillary allowed herself to be duped because she’s an octagenarian who desperately wants to be president herself, while Welfare Queen YLB allowed herself to be duped – “He had a cold!” – because she’s a congenitally unserious twat.
