No foreign policy experience, no executive experience. This isn’t the profile of someone I’d expect to see on a national ticket, although she’s certainly a better choice for the White House (should it come to that) than the GOP presumptive nominee. I’d rather see her stay in the Senate, and I don’t expect Hillary to pick her. I think Tim Kaine is a more likely pick, due to his deeper political experience, and having served as a governor. Meanwhile, I hear the GOP presumptive nominee is having trouble recruiting a running mate. My neighbor’s dog is available.

You can skip reading this comment, Poodle. It’s not for you. For my friends, and those with comprehension abilities higher than a gnat’s, here’s how I sized up the situation. The stock market plunged Friday because (some) investors feared “Brexit” would trigger a global recession. Yet “Brexit” will take years to implement, and its effects are uncertain, and will unfold gradually. Moreover, the effect on the U.S. economy is likely to be pretty minimal. Therefore, the stock market’s reaction appears to have been knee-jerk. That, plus the fact there’s really no other good place to put money, suggested to me that all the chickens who ran out of the coop squawking on Friday would come back and resume laying eggs as usual. So, I figured the chances were pretty good this is just a temporary dip. Now, the market as a whole is overpriced, and for some time now all the wise heads have been saying sit on cash, which is what I’ve been doing, and when an event like Friday comes along, that’s when you spend the cash. That’s what you hoard it for, and it does you absolutely no good if you don’t spend it when the market dives. That’s how I see things.
