    So we have a backlog of 400,000 veterans applying for treatment by the VA, and the average wait time for the 1st response from the VA is 6 months.

    So let’s get this straight. You get back from Iraq, and you have problems. You contact the VA and wait…. and wait…. and wait……

    This is how veterans are treated in Bushworld.

    Applying for legal citizenship? The wait went from 7 months to 16 months.

    Passport? From 3 weeks to 4 months.

    Since Republiconvicts hate government so much, why do they want to be involved in destroying it?

    Be prepared for America to be another 3rd world nation. The day is not that far away.

But when he did nothing, you all blamed GWB. Unfortunately for you liberals the SF Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News exposed Feinstein and she had to resign the Milcom committee.

    @5 The V.A. has had 3 secretaries of veterans affairs since 2001, all of them Republican hacks appointed by Bush.

    Mr. Blum is not, and never has been, secretary of veterans affairs. He does not run the V.A. He does not supervise contracters who do work for the V.A. He is not a contracter who works for the V.A. In fact, so far as I can determine, he doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the V.A.

    P.S., where’s all this “personal responsibility” that Republicans promised us they were going to accept for how they run the government? So far, we haven’t seen any of it. Trying to get a Republican to accept responsibility is like trying to get a mortgage payment from a subprime borrower.*
