    I just looked at CC for the first time in several months. It is sad to see.

    They seemingly do not understand web design at all. The major feature is a sort of blog that covers everything from potholes to poetry. Because it scrolls, even an interesting aricle quickly fades.

    The emphasis on the arts is a mixed blessing. I like the arts and am happy to see good coverage. But as stew with politics, the result in the the veggies and meat get unequally cooked.

    Finally, the overall feel is gentile. Too gentile.

    In a way, this reminds me of a somewhat intellectual version of Seattle Magazine .. their motto is, “Never Offend the Rich Folks.”
