    However, if you wish to debate this on a purely academic level — there being no justiciable issue of whether you have to pay taxes for policies you disapprove of — I can float similar objections to paying taxes for ICE thuggery, blowing up Venezuelan (fishing?) boats in international waters, malicious prosecutions of political opponents, and so on.

    The short answer, then, is: If I have to pay taxes for stuff I don’t like, so do you, because you’re not fucking special.

    I have acknowledged that the evidence presented in the affidavit is mostly evidence the FBI has had for more than two years. What changed is obviously the decision from the DOJ (FBI does not make charging decisions) to seek an indictment based on that evidence. But we must bear in mind that this is a DOJ run by a leadership team who override the counsel of experienced senior prosecutors, unlawfully appoint talentless gullible hacks to substitute their judgement for those experienced senior prosecutors, commit perjury, withhold exculpatory evidence, falsify documents, lie to the media, lie in sworn statements, and repeatedly seek indictments without sufficient evidence to meet the burden of proof for purely political ends. This is well established and has been amply demonstrated to all.

    So it’s my opinion that this indictment would be difficult to prove in court to the legal standard required in the statutes. I’m not at this time aware of any physical evidence or eyewitness accounts precisely tying the accused to either of the two crime scenes, nor of any physical evidence or or eyewitness accounts tying the accused to the explosive devices and other forensic evidence recovered from those two crime scenes. No fingerprints, no DNA, no fiber or chemical traces. Perhaps it exists and is simply not in the affidavit. But without it the jury should be instructed essentially to acquit. And that is the more likely reason for the DOJ to have previously declined to seek an indictment. Because now that the accused has been indicted the DOJ must begin the process of producing discovery. And development of further physical evidence from the accused, however it is collected, must more or less cease.

    To me it’s far more likely that Pam Bondi simply does not care if a conviction is ever obtained. After all, this is an administration that just commuted the criminal sentence of a mass murderer in exchange for worthless crypto. The “vibes” are all that matter.

    And gaslighting bullshit from an impotent crazed pedophile loner alcoholic troll can’t overcome any of that now or ever.

    That’s the problem with saying every stupid thing that pops into your head without giving it a minute to rattle around in there before it’s spewed to the others. You don’t give yourself the opportunity to think better of it.

    Three years ago Ukraine, a mid sized European nation with an otherwise small military, was attacked and invaded without warning by neighboring Russia, one of the largest military and nuclear powers on earth. From the very beginning Ukraine was and sill is in a fight for its very existence. Russia’s initial plan, which was defeated, was to wipe Ukraine off the map and make it part of Russia, as they had previously done in Crimea. For Ukraine the stakes literally can’t be higher. And there can be no greater state of emergency.

    In WW2, the United States entered the war after suffering an attack on Navy forces stationed thousands of miles away from our mainland and major population on a lightly populated island protectorate territory in the middle of the Pacific ocean. Other distant U.S. territories in the Pacific eventually came under attack and were even invaded by the forces of Imperial Japan by the end of 1942.

    But long before that came to pass the U.S. responded to that initial attack at distant Pearl Harbor by declaring war, declaring a national state of emergency, and rather quickly implementing a sweeping array of emergency powers, placing huge and vital sectors of the US economy under direct government control. Wages and prices were frozen. Consumer goods of all kinds were seized and rationed for the duration of the war and even after. US based private industry, whether they liked it or not, relinquished control over key decisions about their business and their future to boards and commissions appointed by the president. For years to come huge contracts of all kinds for real estate purchases, construction, manufacturing, supply, logistics, labor, and even media entertainment were entered into by public/private partnerships with little or no public oversight. It was an emergency. Time was short. The future was on the line.

    At the time, and even afterwards when some corruption in some parts of those contracts were later discovered, Americans did not think of that system of emergency public/private partnerships as being inherently or systematically corrupt. They were and still are to this day regarded as an absolute necessity given the stakes. And though a few private industrialists and public officials would later come under fire for how scarce emergency resources were used, the overwhelming consensus was a shared sense of patriotic duty and pride in what was accomplished.

    Sure, American lawmakers and bureaucrats sleeping soundly thousands of miles away from nightly drone and glide bomb attacks want to cover their asses with multiple redundant layers of accountability. But it’s distinctly possible that the people in Ukraine sleeping in shelters under daily attack now for three years by one of the world’s largest armies are more concerned with not running out of the supplies they know are vital to their survival now.

    And Glenn Greenwald is a Russian hand puppet.
