I hope you had a nice Easter, or if you don’t celebrate, a nice Sunday where some shops were closed.
I still haven’t taken the 2 Line on the Eastside since the connection. But this week for sure. Where would you go for a nice dinner, or a good tourist trap to waste an afternoon? Or a nice bike ride?

Where’s Nancy Neanderthal?

How Elijah thinks:
Quote du jour from the Insane Failing Cult Leader at the White House kid’s event:
“But remember, wars last years.”

We thank every military service member for your service and life.
If that rate never drops to zero and actually gets worse over time then it begs obvious questions:
What do those 13,000 “strike missions” consist of and what are you actually accomplishing with them other than viral content for publication on Xitter?
In just a couple of weeks Holy Sport War has gone from stand off weapons launched from over-the-horizon to low flying, sub-sonic A-10s and Blackhawks (which in case you didn’t know are tactical transport helos used to move grunts). The Holy Sport War is getting harder and more dangerous. That’s the numbers story.
But as we’ve all learned a long time ago here on HA, the lying troll is quite bad with numbers.
Save Us. Save Us.
We need regime change.
Sincerely,

3,
“America will lose.”
To be fair, there was nothing much to win for America. It’s all about the Zionists and their desire for “Greater Israel,” which would expand Israeli territory to include such nations as Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. The Zionists want to eliminate Iran as a potential adversary after the Zionist conquests of those lands.
The Zionists want total hegemony over the Levant. Iran must not be allowed to be a competitor or an enemy to challenge that bombastic goal. America’s role is to do the heavy lifting for Israel, secure the destruction of Iran and shut up and do whatever their Zionist masters say.
@8 yes. And we forever will be grateful to be a Jew now.
90 million future American lovers.
@7 – If there is any country that needs a regime change, it’s the USA.
What dumbfuck fails to see here is HOW the war is being lost.
It’s not on the battlefield. It would be over in 4-6 weeks. That’s now.
It will be a temporary spike in prices and suck it up. ^ weeks in and the gas price is still exploding.
It’s just one plane. And a couple helicopters, and another plane and a billion a day in munitions.
Americans who don’t support this war are “ignorant”
Attitudes toward a war don’t tend to increase support the longer it goes on.
Can the database look into when the last time someone simped Tesla?
How about the last use of the phrase “The Pain”
@11
not to mention sleeper cells throughout the US and the World, blowing things up as retaliation.
@10: Regime change in the US would be great, but if it means a continuation of the Democrat/Republican paradigm, it would be a waste of time. Nothing is going to change as long as those entrenched parties are in government.
Look at the bright side, libbies: When Swalwell is taken down for being a sexual predator of his interns and volunteers, that means one less slice of the primary Democrat vote split.
You might get the awful human being that is Katie Porter as your next CA governor yet.
@ 14
Nothing is going to change as long as those entrenched parties are in government.
I dunno. I’d call the transition from Biden to DJT47 a change.
I believe Boxcheck Momala would agree with me.
12,
I haven’t looked at the stock price in ages. But that’s all the lying troll cared about after he sold naked puts at $400. At the time I think the rational analysts put the presumptive value at around $200 to $250. And I’m confident it’s still well above that since Musk has been busy transferring other highly leveraged assets into his publicly traded company to protect himself at his investor’s expense. And he still has the magic touch when it comes to defrauding his Stans with idiotic claims about future earnings and wealth.
But I’m not surprised that the lying troll has gone silent about TSLA and Musk in particular, now that Musk has defected from the lying troll’s MAGA cult of personality.
Last thing I read about TSLA was that they reported at the end of Q1 that they were sitting on an unsold inventory of over 50,000 cars just as the market is getting flooded with cheaper, better alternatives to TSLA. The personal robots continue to be fake. And the robot taxis turned out to being covertly operated remotely and can’t operate outside of their geo-fenced safe spaces because that’s how they solve the signal latency issue.
But $7 gas will help every EV maker sell cars, even a shitty one.
15)One thing that definitely can get both parties entrenched old guard on the same side, is attempts to curtail their power. Even Top Two has shown its limits,
Probably the best success for electoral reform was New Zealand, and the main reason the National Government put it to the voters was to troll Labor, who had created a Royal Commission on Electoral Reform following several elections that showed flaws in Winner Take All(also known as First Past the Post), Labor winning the popular vote but National retained government by winning most seats. A third party winning 20% but winning no seats. Labor didn’t put the recommendations to the voters, because at the end of the day, they also benefited from the flaws, Both parties worst fears happened on the Referendum, it passed. 2011 National tried a do-over, the old system got the most votes in the referendum, but voters rejected abandoning the current system they had been using for nearly 20 years. They did go forward with the promised review of Mixed Member Proportional, but the most it recommended was reducing the threshold to 4% from 5 and eliminating the district seat loophole. Some of National’s partners at times needed the latter, so it hasn’t been implemented.

14,
No Democratic president would have conceded to Netanyahu’s demands to attack Israel for a couple of very obvious reasons.
And you already know those reasons.
So you are obviously being very dishonest about this.
You just can’t ever bring yourself to support a Democratic President. It’s that simple. And it’s quite obvious to all of us.
That’s fine. Just stop voting. It’s not for you. I mean, you can’t really want us to believe that you’d support Jill Stein’s calls for paying reparations for slavery or for intrusive government interventions into what she calls “structural racism” in federal, state, and local government institutions (including schools and universities), can you? Or would you instead claim that Chase Oliver’s actual open borders policy is something you’d support? I mean, vote for whoever you like, of course. But don’t expect us to believe that there is actually some magical real presidential candidate who meets all of your purity tests.
You know how when your memory care floor Dad forgets about something for like eight months and then all of a sudden he’s back to ranting about that time the dining hall gave him too small a piece of a carrot cake?
Hope this works out, as I don’t trust battery buses on our rural providers longest routes. Like Clallam Transit Routes 14(Port Angeles-Forks) and 123(Strait Shot, Port Angeles-Bainbridge Island), long routes with no time for a battery charge at terminals, Greys Harbor 40(Aberdeen-Montesano-Olympia), or Island Transit Rt1. The one drawback is the Hydrogen infrastructure isn’t that advanced yet, especially for delivery. Gillig Battery-Electrics, delivering Themis getting easier, they actually drive, not truck, them from the Livermore, CA factory to customers in WA.
https://www.sustainable-bus.com/news/gillig-hydrogen-fuel-cell-bus-bae-ballard/
Yesterday when it was learned that the US had lost two MC-130 AFSOC (Air Force Special Forces) air frames inside of Iran (cost $100 million+ each, and just when the lying troll had been lying his ass off claiming that only a single US aircraft had ever been lost so far, a lie he saw fit to repeat this morning) the Air Force reported that the aircraft were deliberately scuttled on the ground by special forces to prevent them from falling into enemy hands.
The circumstances surrounding all this remain very murky. And it isn’t remotely clear at this point why AFSOC would intentionally land these gigantic aircraft inside Iran and then order them destroyed. News reports say the two aircraft became stuck in sand after landing to deploy special forces troops to performn the exfilitration of the downed F-15E SWO. Additional aircraft were dispatched to provide exfiltration and the two that were stuck were scuttled. There are lots of questions about these claims. And some of these details don’t really add up.
Now today IRGC forces are distributing their video and images of the wreckage site showing what clearly appear to be them retrieving personal identifying items and insignia of Air Force personnel who would have been present on board these two scuttled aircraft. The images do appear to show what are authentic US government ID badges, State of Israel temporary residency permits commony issued to US military and “state department” personnel serving and residing in Israel, Delta Airlines travel documents and boarding passes, and even an American Express Platinum card.
Any of these could be faked of course. And it would be to the advantage of the Iranian Guardian Council to portray the loss of these two aircraft (and a few others) during the rescue operation as a greater military success for Iran. But it also adds to questions and doubts about the truthfulness and accuracy of official reports coming from the Pentagon about this operation and many others in the current Holy Sport War in Iran.
“No Democratic president would have conceded to Netanyahu’s demands to attack Israel…”
I’m not so sure about that. The Epstein files might have some very interesting info on Dems and Reps alike. Let’s get hose files released and see who has been naughty and who has been extra naughty!

27 – Nope. Not a Nancy boy either.
Of course you’re not. Presented with any Democrat, you have “doubts”. That’s a given. It’s in your nature. Fish doubt that air can be breathed.
I’m not even thinking about trying to convince you otherwise.
Just don’t pretend that this gives you any options other than not voting at all. And in your case, I strongly encourage that.
Alihu Akbar am I right Hegseth?

I start laughing uncontrollably whenever I hear those words from the most lawless administration in American history.
You sure you want to resurrect discussion of the loss of control of your bodily functions? The Clinton and GWB43 administrations were a long time ago.
@ 22, 26
No Democratic president would have conceded to Netanyahu’s demands to attack Israel for a couple of very obvious reasons.
Elijah, try using “acceded” next time.
And why would Bibi demand to attack his own nation?
Other than those, it was a strong, strong post.
Reminds me of Pacino’s first scene in Sea of Love:
Elijah cried himself to sleep last night.
@34
Republicans are having a hard time why we didn’t just leave Beau Bergdahl behind.
But then picking or choosing what’s American and what it isn’t is as Republican as white supremacy.
Well, the tinfoil hats are all over the place, but you gotta admit, adding up some details. The Pentagon is lying about something. We just don’t know what.
Why does Iran say they shot the plane down and we say it crashed?
Why did they find one pilot right away near the wreckage and another one was found 100 miles away?
Why is that hundred miles getting really close to Anay and nuclear facility?
Did the pilot missing really average 4 mph with zero rest for the entire time he was gone to end up where they found him?
How did two helicopters get stuck in the sand we figured out how to deal with sand and helicopters and go for one?
Who was on the Blackhawk? The one we lost and how did they get picked up?
Why do we not have a name of the pilot? Why is the only image of him and AI fake of him being rescued?
Was he in fact, a colonel of the special forces needing some kind of deep comfort clearance and that’s why we don’t have his name?
Campaign on no wars. Start a war, for your master Bibi.
Accuse others of starting wars to get elected but they don’t.

Thank you Jared. You pocket the money for my little honey ivanka, if she weren’t my (13 year old) daughter I’d ….. her.

@14 A lot would change by replacing Republicans with Democrats. ICE’s lawless violence would end. Money would be spent on helping low-income Americans with heating assistance, food stamps, child care, and education instead of bombing countries that didn’t attack us. The right to vote and religious freedom wouldn’t be under attack. And a lot more would be different and better.
@15 So what would be worse than Katie Porter as governor of California? A militia leader as governor of New York.
https://www.ms.now/the-reidout/reidout-blog/nassau-county-gop-moving-ahead-armed-civilian-militia-not-alone-rcna147236
Ain’t gonna happen, though. Most New Yorkers aren’t that dumb. Only 40% of them are.
@16 I’d call the transition from Biden to DJT47 a change.
Nicholas II wasn’t great, but Stalin was worse.
Weimar wasn’t great, but Hitler was worse.
Biden wasn’t great, but Trump is worse.
See the parallel? Our grandfathers called it “out of the pan, into the fire.”
@25 What’s clear is the Pentagon expended the better part of a billion taxpayer dollars to retrieve a U.S. airman who shouldn’t have been there in the first place. But at least Trump didn’t leave him behind, probably because his generals wouldn’t let him.
After all, Trump thinks he’s a “loser” like McCain. He only likes pilots who don’t get shot down.
@41
My neighbor is from Long Island, a Nassau County transplant. He also lived in Suffolk County. He’s a volunteer fire fighter. They spend a lot of time talking in the firehouse. He goes out every night without the wife after dinner, and he’s not a drinker. Then he returns like 2 hours later. I call them Klan meetings. But I’m sure he’s involved. He’s a racist.
@26 You seem to think Trump and some Democratic president have been equally naughty. That isn’t possible, not on this planet, so what planet are you on?
@27 I think so.
@31 Neither Clinton nor Bush43 came close to the constitutional violations, threats to our liberties, and violence of this administration. Neither of them compiled the record of court losses this president has. Neither exhibited the degree of contempt for rule of law this president and his cabinet members do. So WTF are you talking about?
34,
The lying troll keeps right on lying to himself claiming that I must be unhappy that an American combat service member came home alive from his beloved Holy Sport War in Iran.
When all I’ve been saying from the very beginning, very very clearly, is that I’d be very happy to see them all come home alive safely right now. Immediately. And so would almost every other patriotic American.
But we all know that cannot happen if the lying troll and his fellow MAGA cult Stans gets their way.
They need the content to prop up their fake stolen valor.
32,
Much appreciate the proof reading, Joan.
That’s my good girl.
When you get a second I need the ice in my wet bar refilled.
And a blow job.
@34 None of which would have been necessary, nor have occurred, if Trump hadn’t carried out a Pearl Harbor-like sneak attack on Iran while pretending to negotiate with them.
If he wasn’t so fucking stupid I’d say he was joking. Markwayne Mullin floated the idea of pulling customs screeners from ‘sanctuary states’’ international airports.
Ok. Point one. There are not many airports that can handle an A-380.
Point two, No one in Europe is dreaming of one day flying to Mobile.

Does a US President require Congressional approval before carrying out a genocide?
No matter what Iran does, my guess is the Insane Failing Cult Leader will declare a win at the last minute and TACO.

@62 He would get it from this Congress if he asked, so long as it could be done by reconciliation to evade the filibuster (e.g., an appropriation for expending 100 nuclear weapons).
That’s how far the once-proud GOP has fallen.
The Republicans will suffer a tremendous loss in November. This needs to happen in order to motivate the Republican leadership to discuss how to begin the 25th Amendment process to remove Trump from office. The process will probably start in earnest in mid to late January, 2027.
Vance will become president, and he will have a very tough time attempting to recover the Republican Party to any position of significance. This might be good for other minor parties such as the Libertarian Party, the Democratic Socialist Party and others. The Republican Party might cease to have any significance in US politics and government.
Have you ever even read the 25th?
Under the 25th, the Insane Failing Cult Leader can restore himself to office with nothing more than a simple letter to Congress. Following that both chambers must agree to remove him with a 2/3rds vote.
He’s already guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.
Impeachment is the quicker and less arduous route for removal of this dangerous tyrant requiring fewer cult members to defy their Insane Failing Cult Leader. And that will remain true after November.
71)Followed by a Pardon?
@73. I think
The elections will be rigged. And if by chance not, then he ain’t leaving. He didn’t want to leave the 1st term, why would it be any different?
And the difference this time will be that more people storm the Capital, if there is even an election in2028, because they know they’ll be pardoned.
Democracy and Freedom was a one shot deal. Stop complaining here, ho do something about it with your friends and family and neighbors, embrace what you don’t like if the Dems or you’ll get what you get now.
TACO Tuesday!
🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
For two weeks!
“Following that both chambers must agree to remove him with a 2/3rds vote.”
Yes, I think that is a distinct possibility in this case. Trump has shit the bed by doing what the Zionist oligarchs told him to do.
The release of the Epstein files will most likely provide more evidence to remove him. I am hoping the release will get many, many more lifer politicians and wealthy people who like to diddle children. I’m sure they will all be “welcome” in prison!
Exciting times ahead!
Would it not be a distinctly greater possibility to obtain a 2/3rds vote in only one of those two chambers? Especially when it’s the one with incumbent Republicans who are better immunized from the MAGA cult base, about 2/3rds of whom are not facing an election this year, and who have their own well entrenched campaign funding networks that are not so entirely dependent upon clicks from idiots?
Israel and Saudi Arabia are now fucked.
And Israel is very unlikely to agree to any ceasefire.
So Iran may be unwilling to make any concessions while they are under attack by U.S. made and U.S. supplied weapons.
79
We will see how this plays out in the coming year.
The Pakistani statement is devoid of any details.
The Iranian statement indicates that the question over control of the Strait of Hormuz would be settled by this new agreement and that it will result in Iran exercising control over shipping transiting the Strait from here on out.
That’s an absolutely incredible defeat for regional security and for global energy if that turns out to be the case. And it would rationally be regarded by any impartial observer as a humiliating personal defeat for the U.S. President who was forced to make such a concession.
81,
Articles of impeachment were introduced today.
One thing is absolutely for certain to be an outcome from the Insane Failing Cult Leader’s crazed gambit in Iran:
Whatever sense of security and safety the Iranian people and the Iranian Guardian Council may have previously had is now completely gone.
Almost universally the Iranian people and their leadership will embrace whatever sacrifices and whatever hardships are required in order for them to recapitulate some degree of security.
I can almost guarantee that will involve development of nuclear weapons. They won’t stop until they have a credible deterrent.
@74 Under the 25th, the Insane Failing Cult Leader can restore himself to office with nothing more than a simple letter to Congress.
By then, he won’t be able to write the letter or sign his name anymore, and Susie Wiles will have put him to work raking leaves to get him out of the building.
@80 And Israel is very unlikely to agree to any ceasefire.
Maybe Israel doesn’t really have a choice. In any event,
https://www.nbcnews.com/world/iran/live-blog/live-updates-iran-war-trump-deadline-hormuz-infrastructure-ceasefire-rcna267039
@81 The likeliest scenario is that Trump (1) is taken to Walter Reed hospital, (2) slips into unconsciousness, (3) Vance temporarily takes over presidential duties, (4) and a few days later is sworn in as the 48th president.
@84 History will remember Trump as the moron who tore up the Obama agreement because he thought bluster and bullying would produce something better.

Why? Congress had no say in Trump’s decision to launch the war, so why should Congress vote on his decision to back off?
Liberals have now won four straight Wisconsin Supreme Court elections in a row. It wasn’t close; the liberal candidate got over 61% of the vote.
Suddenly, Republicans are wildly unpopular.
