I’ll continue to observe and report data. You continue to do what you do. Irrespective of “takes” and bias flawed analysis, the data continue to reveal a consistent polling error in state level polls.
State level polls should be the gold standard for purposes of predicting November results. In particular so-called “high quality” state level polls taken in swing states. But even these polls are revealing the same consistent error. And since most of these polls are also designed to be linear tracking polls intended to reveal trends as the campaign advances from spring and summer, and into the fall, the opportunity to correct for this error by adjusting the poll design has mostly passed.
Super Tuesday will provide another opportunity to observe for state level polling error in another sixteen states. If these polls continue to produce the same consistent errors then campaigns and voters may need to adjust their understanding of state level polls.
I’m happy to take credit if anyone reading my comments took time to look up data about elections, as opposed to being spoon fed opinion and analysis.
It’s always better to be well informed, even if that information is accompanied by disappointment.

Estimating how “Haley voters” might or might not come home in November is actually not the point, when it comes to observing polling error.
The point is that these polls are using weighting to establish their polling model of the electorate. The observation of consistent error suggests that this weighting is likely to be responsible for that error. And we’ve seen this exact thing in previous cycles. They’ve tried to fix it. They probably have more work to do.
Trump is a unique politician in many ways. And it’s reasonable to believe that he has some unique effects on voters. There is quite a lot of data from elections to support that belief. But I’d hasten to point out that in many previous cycles with divided and contentious primaries the losing campaign’s supporters tended to come home to the party. But how important that is has a lot to do with the candidate winning that primary. A candidate who can move past the primary electorate to build a coalition of general election voters may not have to worry much about small percentages of defectors, whether they cross the ballot or stay home.
But that isn’t Trump. He can’t lose any votes in the swing states. He has to improve fairly dramatically from four years ago in order to win and flip enough swing states to come out ahead without having to resort to guns and pipe bombs again. The base of the GOP is very, very different from the rest of the electorate and especially from the bulk of November voters that the party relies on.

In his opinion Hendrix makes the assertion that Congress has ALWAYS had quorum rules that require in-person quorum and because Congress approved proxy voting just recently it is invalid.

Sadly, I think the greatest potential threat of a Trump return comes from his control over America’s assholes.
