The Bush stench is going to be so overwhelming that record numbers of House members will disappear, and the Senate Republicans have to defend 22 of the 33 seats up this time. Even with a “normal” President (lacking record disapproval numbers) times would be tough for Republicans. This upcoming and inexorable expulsion will mirror the Watergate times when Republicans got flushed out by the giant tidal wave of Lysol and hot water.
Therefore, whoever gets elected will get lots done. Unfortunately, it will take an entire generation to undo a bunch of the Bush crime family’s actions.
The number of loyal, brown-shirt votes that they took in support of Bush will bite, and the only sad (?) part is that some of the good Republicans will disappear as well.

I’m watching the New Hampshire debate, and Bill Richardson just said we need a president who can bring people together, and that he’ll appoint some Republicans and work with Republicans — and I thought Obama was naive and pollyannish, Obama has nothing on Richardson for sheer silliness. Republicans have made it amply clear they don’t want to, and won’t, cooperate with Democrats but rather intend to wage scorched earth politics. How many more years do we have to let them kick us before that sinks in?
I was already turned off on Richardson by what Greg Palast said about him in his book “Armed Madhouse.” Richardson played into the hands of Republican vote stealers in New Mexico. Now he’s implying the next president should pander to Republicans in hopes of getting along with them — I think not. I want someone more realistic and, frankly, tougher than that.

John Edwards is a better debater than he was in 2004. I like his passion, and the issues he’s talking about stir me. I’m still undecided, but I promise you two things: I WILL go to my precinct caucus and vote, and I will NOT throw my vote away on someone who has no chance to win. Unless something changes in the next 4 1/2 weeks, I will choose between Clinton, Obama, or Edwards, and all 3 of them are still in the running for my caucus vote. And I’ll make you another promise: For the first time in my life, this November, I’m going to vote a straight Democratic ticket. My country, which I love dearly, deserves nothing less from me.
Now Richardson is saying the president should have line-item veto authority. What is he thinking? Imagine what someone like Bush or Huckabee would do with that power. He hasn’t thought this through.
I thought Edwards was comfortable with himself and spoke from the heart tonight, nothing contrived, just a clear and simple statement of what he believes in, and I was impressed with that.
The Democratic debates certainly are a breath of fresh air compared to the opportunistic bickering that goes on among the Republican candidates.

At the end of his term the national debt was $5.7 Trillion as opposed to 4.1 Trillion when he took office, it increased in every year of his presidency although the last year was the least amount of increase. The budget surplus never happened although it was projected and now if you can get Americans to not look at the facts you can zoom them into thinking it really happened.

” Violence by the Homosexuals. Anyone who has dealt with homosexual activists knows that they are extremely violent and uncontrolled by nature. McIlhenny’s home and church were firebombed. The arsons culminated in their home being firebombed while they were sleeping inside. In 1990, homosexual groups repeatedly vandalized the church and home with graffiti like “Dykes for Choice,” and attacked the crisis pregnancy center housed in the church. Cowardly, skulking homosexuals broke the church’s windows so many times the parishioners boarded them up permanently.[49]
• When California Governor Pete Wilson vetoed the “gay rights” legislation sent to his desk in 1991, hundreds of screaming homosexuals rioted and overpowered police. They grabbed wooden police barriers and used them to smash the heavy plate glass in several office buildings, and then used the broken glass like Frisbees, pitching them at the knees of police.
