I find it fascinating that, as a non-christian Bhuddist/Athiest occupist, that it seems that Yeshua the preacher really has only one short sermon in the entire new testament, and everything else is based on the political and theological fashions of various Popes and kings and such over the last 20 centuries. Assumptions, outright lies, propaganda of old wars, snippets of old legends, campfire stories and suchlike.
Yet, no matter how much the “christians” of modern times claim the name for themselves as a label that separates them from the teeming hordes of unwashed heathen they claim to be continually assaulted by, they still revert to the same attitudes that Yeshua so vehemently and specifically denounced in that one, single sermon that can be directly attributed to him.
One thing I have always been interested in is factual history. Factual, meaning what really was going on instead of the myths that are propagated around events. There were hundreds of preachers and self-assumed Rabbis and such during the same period that Yeshua lived in, and a hundred years is a long time. Think about that. AS an example, we in this time, are separated by MORE time from the American revolution, than the men who wrote the Constitution are from the first European colonization of North America. And we have written language.
We know what people were saying to each other, and what their thoughts were, because we still have much of their original manuscripts.
The old Romans did not have common written language that everyone could understand, except for the elite wealthy, and it is well-known that the Jewish and other populations of the period were also largely illiterate. Reading and writing as a common thing was largely unheard of until just about 250 years ago, and universal literacy really never began as an idea until only about 150 years ago. My ancestors had a very primitive form of writing, and that was descended from the chicken scratches that cavemen could scrape into a chunk of slate with a pointy stick. This was also likely reserved for the elite.
So what makes that period’s propaganda and myth structure surrounding the modern civilizations that developed in that timeframe roughly 2000 years ago, so terribly important to our modern society? We don’t need most of those old rules anymore. We know how to prevent food-borne illnesses. We know how to relate to each other without taking turns turning each others babies into smoky little chunks of muddy hamburger. And yet, in spite of those old rules being in place for so long, they are still completely ignored by the very people that claim those rules as the final moral authority for their society. Most often, in the very defense of those rules.
So, it would seem to me, that those old rules are really just bullshit the elite wealthy and so-called “ministers” preach at people to make sure they conform to their own vision of society, even if they are sociopaths, or merely greedy, selfish assholes.
Why should anyone pay any attention whatsoever to the people who claim to adhere to a certain belief system or set of rules, if those people ignore those rules anyway? We’re all sinners right?
So whats the fuckin point?

As what is, My view is simply that of reality and using all tools you can employ to see reality, is true worship of Me. History, conveyed through the word, is one of those tools.
When humans canonize My word, or worse impose My authority on their words, they assume Godly powers. This IS a violation of the commandment not to take My name in vain.
I would rather they limit themselves to facts and history. These things are My teachings.
So here are the facts of “Christianity.” This religion arose out of the great pain the Romans inflicted on the Jews. It is possible to learn from what you do know of that pain from the heroism of people who resisted that power. Some of these, or at least some of their stories, lie hidden in the Roman “bible.” Of curse, that bible was written to make Christianity a Roman imposed religion .. seeing the truth through the authors’ point of view is difficult.
These authors became the Romans and to this day try to force Roman will on all of you.
Yet, there were heroes who resisted, who refused to accept the idea that Roman military rule meant acceptance of Greco Roman culture. If you look outside of Puddy’s bible, you can read about Jesus as a peasant rebel … as part of that resistance but he will appear as Roman rather than as Jewish. This is an untruth.
You might wonder whether Jesus was relly built of tohers’ stories. Jesus is a cleaned up version of anti Roman heroes like ben Zakkai, Rabbi be Zakkai was a pacifist in Jerusalem in 68 C.E. when the city was under siege by Vespasian.
The rabbi, a Pharisee and follower of Hillel, preached paying taxes and being peaceful but resisting Roman culture. He opposed the Zealots, Jews who would rather die than surrender to Rome. ben Zakkia, like “Jesus” urged surrender. When Rome’s Vespasian conquered the city and destroyed the Temple, ben Zakka had his disciples smuggle him out of Jerusalem in a coffin. This legend says the coffin was brought to Vespasian’s tent. When ben Zakkai emerged from the coffin, he told the Roman that he had had drent that Vespasian would soon be emperor. The rabbi asked Rome to set aside place called Yavneh so Judaism could survive through the study of Torah in peace. Vespasian became Emperor and kept his word. The yeshiva survives today as “rabbinic” Judaism.
Can you imagine this story in Puddy’s bible? How about the story of Rabbi Akiba who sided with the rebellion against Rome? Do you see Constantine endorsing this practice at Nicea?
When Rome captured Akiba, the rabbi was skinned alive for refusing to renounce his beliefs. Can you imagine Puddy … and his Roman predecessors, celebrating Akiba’s suffering?

It occurs to me that, in the present time, Roman nationalistic ideals are mirrored almost exactly in those of the United States. I suppose this is the nature of nationalism, and the nature of States to become someone enamored of their enclaves that enable them to set their own sets of rules. But there are certain people who consider themselves to be good citizens, that is, they obey the laws, pay their taxes and do their best to function within that societal structure.
What appalls me about the so-called “American Christian” is the openly nationalistic and monarchistic nature of the message they demand people listen to when they speak. It is totalitarian and authoritarian. This nation was created with the idea, written in the stone of the Constitution, that all men are created equal. What the TeaPottie and the goose-stepping morons that adhere to its ideals are espousing, are:
Removing females (except children) from the workplace.
Requiring females to submit to harsh laws that men are exempt from based entirely on biology.
Removing females from the political discussions about their own biology.
Setting in Law repression of population demographics based on skin color, religion, national ancestry, gender identification, economic status, mental and physical health status, and physical gender.
Eliminating workplace safety regulations.
Eliminating Child Labor Laws.
Eliminating Unions.
Eliminating publicly funded education.
Eliminating National Parks.
Eliminating public works that do not generate profit.
Privatizing the legal system and the prison system.
Privatizing the Military.
Privatizing other government functions that to not support commerce.
Institutionalizing a dominionist christian theology that is extremely rigid, and based on nothing resembling their own public message about the set of rules involved. Christian laws about how criminals and sinners are to be treated are exactly the same as Sharia Law. Exactly. They demand Lawmakers outlaw Sharia, while at the same time demand Christian Law be made into Public Law. But there is no discernible difference between the two.
American christians are quite vocal about adhering to the old testament, even while claiming the name of a legendary individual who came out and openly said that it was a totally obsolete paradigm.
It is institutionalized corruption. Right up in your face. And people are embracing these ideas.
What the TeaPottie is, is rabidly anti-government and anti-Constitution. They have taken the open stance that nothing in the Constitution or anything that the Supreme Court has said matters.
Except for the Second Amendment. They only support that one, because it gives them the leeway to think that it would allow them to assassinate political rivals. Their ideas of “freedom”, do not mesh at all with the concepts of Liberty that the men who wrote the Constitution set as the Law of the land.

Let’s see. Millennial zeal generally began back in the early 19th century when William Miller and his acolytes predicted that Jesus would return some time 1844. Since then, we’ve had how many failed predictions? I don’t know.
