The good news is the fact that more, and more Americans are starting to realize how bad the Bushies really are. As more “regular” Americans figure it out, the more ridiculous they are on Faux News Distortion. They have to go waaaaaay out there to take their shots.
When I was in Crawford at Camp Casey, I was begging the Faux News people to let me go toe to toe with O’Liley. I handed them like 50 business cards, begging them to put this “liberal” on. He’s lucky they didn’t. I was gonna start reading some of the names on the crosses, and ask Billo what they died for.

A while ago I watched Hannity tell his viewers that we “had” found WMD’s in Iraq. I was watching with friends, and we all started to laugh. Someone said he should go tell Bush, because Bush didn’t think we found anything. That would be great news!

Just be glad you didn’t get to live in a FEMA trailer that is toxic. My god that is a story. The tested one trailer, and found it was toxic, and figured if they didn’t tell anyone, they couldn’t be sued for all the health problems the trailers caused the thousands of other people. This is unbelievable. People’s pets were dying, and people were getting nosebleeds, and sick, their children were sick, and FEMA knew the trailers were toxic, but said nothing. There is a difference between incompetence, and murder.

1) Why does the Publican party say it’s against abortion and pro life when…
a) It takes every opportunity to block any government funding for pre- or post-natal care? Does the GOP think it’s okay if your baby dies from natural causes and is that a PROLIFE position?
b) It takes every opportunity to block sex education. Does that mean you want people to have unsafe sex resulting in unwanted babies which might then have to be aborted?
c) It takes every opportunity to block government funding for pregnancy prevention. Back to argument a. You want to stop people from having an abortion but you see no problem letting them get pregnant anyway.
And a bonus question – how is you’re pro-life, but you support the death penalty?

Yeah, Congress is at a lower approval rating than Chimpy. Amazing huh? And it’s all because every time they try to pass anything that benefits someone who isn’t rich and powerful, the Reepers in the Senate threaten filibuster.
Make ’em follow through on the filibusters, make the Reepers read the phone book in the middle of the night during what should have been their recess until they decide maybe an up-or-down vote isn’t so bad after all, and watch Congress’ approval ratings go up.

I’ll answer this by first saying that one has nothing to do with the other.
I’m pro life. I believe that every life is a gift. I also believe that the government has no business in the decision making process as to a womans body. The abortion issue becomes gray for me when talking about late term abortions “of choice” not necessity.
I am for the death penalty. I believe in it becuase it applies to those individuals who are excersising free will, and willfully breaking the law and damaging others. Ex. The serial pedophile who kidnapped, raped, and bludgeoned to death an innocent 12 year old girl. He chose to do that.
So I guess it boils down to.
Pro life to protect the life of an innocent.
Pro Death Penalty becuase the person has chosen their fate.

During the freakshow in Florida where Faux News Channel staked out poor Teri Schivo for political gain, a woman in Texas lost her five year old because she couldn’t pay for medical attention. They pulled her kids plug because there was no money to pay for care. How does the pro-life right justify that?
Those FEMA trailers sound something like the trucks in Auschwitz that used the engine exhaust to kill the “passengers” on the way to their mass graves.

Terry Schievo – totally stupid. A tragedy that had gas poured on it. There were many dirty hands there. What did I take from the whole unseemly episode? The importance of a living will, and planning for the future….
The whole health care debate is such an “onion” with so many layers to peel. I think that all children need to have primary care. I would like to see greater access to care for those who are poor. I don’t believe or trust our government to provide either of those things…

The most recent WA Post/ABC poll they break down the approval by party. This is the most recent poll that I know of that breaks down congressional approval by party.
Guess what happens?
Clearly, the Republicans, with only 34% approval are dragging down the mean! Democrats are at 46% approval.
In either case, the overall congressional approval of 37% found in that poll is greater than the 33% approval for Bush found in the same poll.

Actually, the horseshit at 7 is a classic example of an ad-hominem argument, with the added twist of guilt by association. That, alone, renders the statistics pointless.
But it’s also worth noting the lack of any attempt to discuss the underlying social issues, general poverty and high unemployment among black males, that are causal factors underlying the statistics. Just the gross suggestion that we would be doing black people a “favor” by outlawing abortion.
Actually what was predictable was:
(1) The Reepers in Congress blocking every single measure in Congress the Democrats could possibly take credit for;
(2) The Reepers blaming the Democrats for nothing getting done;
(3) Traitors like Doofus spreading Reeper talking points and lies (closely allied and often the same thing)
It is going to be so much fun watching a Democratic Senate, a Democratic congress and a Democratic president take charge in 2008, and reminding all the wingnuts that they brought it on themselves, and knowing in the meantime that as long as the Decidererer is in charge, there ain’t a damn thing they can do about it.

I certainly don’t trust THIS government to provide health care. I wouldn’t let a single member of the Bush misadministration put a Band-Aid on me or hand me an aspirin. But that doesn’t mean that it’s not possible for government to provide health care (see: Canada, France, Britain, Germany, etc.) And the phrase “government provide health care” is misleading at any rate. Doctors provide health care. Government should only provide the funding mechanism.

She also remarked that speaking to the women’s auxillary of the KKK (once), was one of the weirdest experiences of her life as a public speaker, and that the women of the KKK were so poorly educated that she had to use the simplest possible terms, as if speaking to children.

And if all these children were born, they would be in two-parent households, where at least one of the parents had a proper job. They would grow up loved, literate, clean, worldly and godly.

So why is this? I see one of two possibilities. Either that black women are making a rational argument based on economics and family stability that they are unwilling to bring children into the world that they cannot support. Otherwise you are implying that black women cannot make their own rational choices, and Massa makes them have abortions.
If you believe option b in any way, shape, or form, we need to sit down and have a talk. If you believe blacks are so inferior as a group that they are not capable of making rational decisions, I’d say you’re a racist sir.
