    None of us ever get to vote for a Supreme Court Justice. This kind of authority must not be concentrated in an unelected body of elitists with no accountability to the people.

    It’s voters against a SCOTUS gathering authority unto itself that it never had. By arbitrarily granting and restricting authority to the Executive Branch in this fashion the Court makes itself the only enduring authority. And none of them are ever elected.

    Roberts and at least a few of his fellow Justices are insane with power and the exercise of that power. It’s very clear that they hold the Congress in utter contempt. And out of that contempt they are eager to wrest governmental authority from that branch whenever it suits them, and without respect for the voters. Obviously at times, and often with good reason, Roberts and his fellow “texturalists” also hold the Executive Branch in contempt. And regardless of precedent, settled law, or the interests of the people, they will also wrest power away from the Executive Branch and take it unto themselves.

    The Framers never intended for a Court comprised of lifetime appointees to be given the predominating power in our system. And since all voters are disenfranchised by such a court, no political party stands to benefit in such a system run by black robed wizards who hide from public scrutiny and accountability.
