To continue to be eligible for unemployment benefits a recipient has to send out a certain number of applications for employment each week. Frequently the recipient isn’t a realistic candidate for a job.
Someone filling a quota by applying for a job paying $10/hr, but listing a salary expectation of $25/hr, isn’t going to be taken seriously.

My parents are in their late 70s with all the stubbornness, resistance to new technology and memory issues that comes with advancing age.

With Greyhound in Spokane, They only go to Seattle and Portland, and with Jefferson Lines and Northwestern Stage Lines, not much traffic in and out of the station. CBP and ICE just think it’s a quick place to do this at. I’ve been through that station a few times, for EWU Homecoming and the Dam Cup a few yeats ago, it’s gone downhill since I used it when I was attending EWU.
