    I’ve sent in my virtual donation. Too bad Bush and Congress’s policies are killing real people. While a real progressive like Cindy Sheehan is out in the real world really protesting Bush, Darcy is hiding in a hotel with her cyber friends.

    IF the general is serious about getting out of Iraq, than lets hope he is also endorsing Dr Paul for President. Dr Paul has been opposed to the war from the begining unlike Hillary.

    Wish I could donate to Darcy, but the pocketbook is DRY! Nope, my bills are paid & don’t owe anything like the redneck deadbeat welcher, but I just ain’t got it to spare. Sorry, would if I could.

    If it’s any consolation, though….the timing is so so so BAD!

    No matter HOW much money Reichert rakes in for this lunch, unless one lives in Diebolt Land, people ONLY get one vote per person. When you think about it, Monday (hehehe! if folks didn’t hate Bush before, they’re REALLY gonna hate him then!)…

    Per todays Seattle Times: “Wherever Bush’s motorcade goes, traffic will be cleared and rush-hour commuters will have to wait until he passes. Bellevue officials said they expect severe afternoon backups because of the motorcade and the large protests expected downtown.

    Bush is set to arrive at the fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue at 4:25 p.m. and return to the airport in time to fly out by early evening.”

    After 3 weeks of congestion and worries while the I-5 got fixed up – come Monday Bush with his calvary umm motorcade, secret security, swat teams running ahead of the parade …. will be shutting down the Airport at Seatac PLUS probably I-405 and heaven know how much of Bellevue, for an unlimited time during early evening Rush Hour Traffic.

    Don’t you think all those folks are going to be steaming, fuming? Worrying about penalties for picking up their kids late from daycare? Stuck in traffic? Feeling hot and bothered, stressed to the max?

    Do you think those folks will be wanting to hand over their votes (or urging their family/friends) to such inconsiderate, photo op seeking, persons? Last time Bush visited Phoenix, I heard screams from my sisters (one a Republican even) living at both ends of town. Police blocked driveways to businesses, cost the town I believe $1 million dollars in local police salaries for the pleasure of his company. Bush shut the town down for hours. Monday is going to be a hoot to watch, I think! Can’t wait to watch the news.
