I think what the Epstein/Trump Child Rape Scandal® will produce is a more significant measurable decline in turnout among the less politically engaged voters upon whom Fat Hitler now relies.

For those who may not understand, in modern maneuver warfare some element of surprise is absolutely crucial.
One key element of maneuver warfare is that direct engagement with enemy strong points is always avoided in order to limit casualties and depletion of weapons systems and logistics. Instead rapid, surprise deployment is employed to quickly isolate key enemy infrastructure or strong points from resupply and reinforcement. Maneuver warfare thus tends to rely heavily on detailed and highly accurate intelligence about the position and composition of enemy forces. And to acheive these ends command and control is often decentralized with many tactical commanders given the authority to act independently to acheive their assigned objectives.
But one weakness of maneuver warfare arises in part from that decentralization. If an overall plan is disrupted effectively by opposing forces, whether by loss of surprise or by intelligence failures or both, then losses can be staggering. History offers many examples of this. Because if command and control is decentralized then attacking forces facing unexpected resistance can become isolated and cut off. And if enough significant objectives of a plan are not met the entire tactical maneuver involving all forces engaging in the attack can become vulnerable to destruction.
That’s basically what happened to Russia in the opening hours of their 2022 invasion. Russia had terrible intelligence about Ukraine’s preparedness and strong points. But perhaps much worse, because of the vastly superior intelligence and surveilance technology that the U.S. provided to Ukraine, Russia’s rapidly advancing Spetsnaz assault teams and other rapid response tactical teams were immediately surrounded and cut off by superior forces, captured, killed, and and destroyed. They were unable to secure almost any of their key objectives in the opening hours of the conflict. And as a result the entire plan failed and the losses were staggering.
Since then Russia has been reluctantly forced into facing a prolonged attrition war in which their army must trade enormous resources of very high casualties, destruction of equipment and depletion of weapons systems in order to obtain very tiny increments of territory. Russia experiences about 30,000 casualties every month in exchange for an average net territiorial gain of less than one kilometer (about one half mile). And that’s leaving out the losses of oil and energy infrastructure that Ukraine has proved very capable of inflicting with regularity, deeply impacting Russia’s economic productivity and its ability to sustain the pace of the war.
The primary interest that Republicans in general have, including many corrupt talking heads, in bringing about a swift resolution to the conflict now, even if it imposes terrible losses on Ukrainian sovereignty and its loss of independent democratic government, is in recognition of these economic losses already sustained in Russia. Russia is a big country with a big economy that represents a lot of opportunity to investors. Right now investment in Russia is sanctioned. But right now Russia has never been more desperate for foreign investment. Putin is no longer in the position he once was to carefully control foreign investments to funnel the bulk of gains to himself and his coterie of oligarchs and their families. If/when the war comes to an end and sanctions are lifted Putin will have no choice but to open Russia for investment like it has never really been open before.
The greed heads don’t give one single fuck about Ukriane, about displaced refugees, or about dead kids. They are all salivating over untold wealth to be had in Russia in the years ahead.
