DLBottleNext Tuesday is Special Election Day for many in Washington State. That makes TODAY a good day to turn in your ballot at a drop box near you. And then head over to the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally to enjoy a drink over some political conversation.

We meet tonight and every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. You’ll find us in the back room starting about 8:00pm.

  2. The decision to shutter a Tacoma pediatric gender clinic has drawn skepticism from some legal experts who say the hospital, though pressured by the Trump administration, acted prematurely.

    But leaders at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and its MultiCare health system said the increasingly aggressive federal threats to all of their Medicare and Medicaid funding if gender-affirming care continued, essentially forced them to close the clinic that sees hundreds of trans and nonbinary youth. If Mary Bridge did not halt care for those patients, and federal funding was pulled, the entire hospital would be at risk, they said.

  15. The middle of the night raid on a Chicago apartment block last fall in Operation Midway Blitz was setup by the landlord to evict tennants so she could liquidate out of bankruptcy more favorably. It never had anything at all to do with TdA.

    There were no Tren de Aragua gang members. The alleged “squatters” were families who were sub-letting units from leaseholders who had moved away from the area, which is not a criminal offense btw. No charges were ever filed against any of the 37 people arrested. It was DHS being employed to advance mortgage fraud as a favor for Trump supporting Floridians and members of MAL.

    The Trump administration will draw down 700 federal law enforcement officers from Minnesota “effective immediately,” White House border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday.

    After that partial withdrawal, around 2,000 federal agents will remain in the state — a roughly 25% reduction — with most concentrated in the Twin Cities area encompassing Minneapolis and St. Paul, Homan said at a press conference in Minneapolis.

    Homan announced the pullback after touting what he said was “unprecedented cooperation” between the federal government and state and local entities. That cooperation boosts efficiency, requiring fewer officers to be sent into communities “to assume custody of a criminal alien target” and freeing up resources, Homan said.

    It’s an honest piece. Chicago real estate is a sewer. And it’s the people who suffer. Venezuelans have nothing to do with it.
    It’s just common landlord fraud. That’s why it’s triggering to the lying troll.
    But it’s all out-of-state investors committing most of the fraud. Or carpetbaggers who flee to Israel, Russia, etc. And while some are certainly Democratic donors, most are big REITs and shell companies for money laundering.

    And the admissions about the DHS raid are all taken directly from their own court filings in the last few weeks.

    The two children who returned to MN today say they saw one of their Valley View schoolmates at a detention center in TX. This is a child whose family was last in contact with the school on January 9. No one has known where they were until now.
