One reason why people are looking at other options beside unregulated capitalism.
    MAGA Boomer:
At your age in 1970 I paid off college & bought a house with hard work.
    Millennials:
In 1970 college was 5% of median salary. Now it’s 44%.
    A median home was $24K. Now it’s $417K.
The top marginal tax rate was 70%. Now it’s 37%.
Sure maybe you did work hard—but then you closed the door behind you.

FDR had a tax rate of 94% on all income over $200,000 for 1944-45. Adjusted for inflation, that’s something like $3.5 million today.
Something like that would help us now.

What a strange and magical world we live in! How do geese know when they’ve migrated far enough? How can bumblebees fly? Why do bankruptcies skyrocket when Republicans take power?
    So much we’ll never know!

This isn’t going to do YLB’s claims of stagflation any good.

Holiday road-trippers are feeling some relief at the pump this year.

The average price of unleaded gasoline in the U.S. has been below $3 a gallon for most of the month — the lowest level since 2021, according to AAA. The association said it’s shaping up to be the cheapest December for drivers filling up their tanks going back to the pandemic year of 2020.

Fuel prices are down about 7% from a month ago, AAA data shows, and have tumbled roughly 43% from mid-2022 highs near $5 a gallon that followed runaway inflation in the wake of the pandemic.

That’s inflation that followed Biden’s assumption of the presidency.

Impact vs. Weight: Even with a small percentage weight, sharp increases in gasoline prices (like the surge in 2022) can dramatically boost the overall CPI, as seen when gas prices drove over half the monthly inflation increase in August 2023. – [Google AI]

And when gas prices fall sharply, CPI will be significantly reduced. That’s bad news for an HA libbies openly hoping for stagflation because Orange Man Bad.

I received notice of a settlement agreement pending judicial approval. Apparently Wells Fargo was talking the talk but not walking the walk with DEI:

This is a securities class action against Defendants for alleged violations of the federal securities laws. Plaintiffs alleged that Defendants made materially false and misleading statements and omissions regarding the Company’s diversity hiring initiative, the Diverse Search Requirement. Plaintiffs further alleged that the statements at issue concerning the Diverse Search Requirement were false or materially misleading when made because Defendants failed to disclose that they were managing and operating the Diverse Search Requirement in a manner that led to widespread “fake” interviews of diverse candidates. Plaintiffs alleged that the fact Wells Fargo was conducting widespread fake or sham interviews of diverse candidates under the policy was disclosed by The New York Times on June 9, 2022, and caused shareholder losses. Defendants deny all of the allegations of wrongdoing asserted in the Action and deny any liability whatsoever to any member of the Class.

So Wells claimed to want trannies in its workforce but, let’s face it, no one really wants trannies, who are murderous clowns because they are so fucked up in the head.

Anyway, Wells denies guilt but will hand out $85M to its 3.1B shareholders, after attorneys’ fees. My guess is my cut will be 40 bucks.

Did I share that WFC shares hit an all-time high today?

Merry Christmas, trannies! Santa knows you all are murderously naughty, so when you wake up tomorrow morning there will still be a dick and a skid mark in your snowflake panties along with coal in your stockings.

Anything to distract from the child rapist in the White House, the worsening economy for the majority of Americans, those Americans who voted for the child rapist and now will vote for the Dem (see NJ hispanics) or just stay home.

So it just masturbates to hate and silly scapegoating.

    The state of reality today:

The job market has broadly cooled, unemployment has increased and businesses are reticent to hire. Interest rates have fallen but remain quite high for credit cards and auto loans, while mortgage rates remain above 6%, Zandi said.

While stock prices have soared, those riches have flowed largely to high-income households, which own a disproportionate share of such assets.

Wage growth has also declined more rapidly for lower-wage workers than for those earning higher incomes, according to data compiled by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

“Not all Americans are feeling the affordability squeeze,” Zandi wrote in November. “The finances of the well-to-do are arguably as good as they have ever been.”

Aw, Santa brought G-clown a present, too:

S&P 500 closes at another fresh record in holiday-shortened session: Live updates

Beats me why updates are necessary “live” when the market won’t be open again until Friday. But I digress.

Those moves came after the Commerce Department issued its a third-quarter reading of the U.S. gross domestic product that came in at 4.3%, surpassing the Dow Jones consensus estimate of 3.2%.The report, which had been delayed by the government shutdown, initially led traders to lower their expectations of interest rate cuts early next year. However, fed funds futures trading still indicates two rate cuts by the end of 2026, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.

IOW Santa is bringing little Donald Trump, and the country, a prosperous 2026.

Lessee, GDP up, inflation down. God bless us, every one [on the good side of the wealth gap].

G-clown, shoulda invested in equities instead of cash instruments. You’ll never make up what you have left on the table, dude. But hey, at least you’ll have something to suck this Christmas.

No Tax On Tips will boost tipped worker annual income by an average of $1,300.

It’s too bad for libbies that Boxcheck Momala’s support for the concept came as a very belated “Me too”, which only strengthened Donald Trump’s 2024 candidacy.

Say, I’ll be the DNC report that Ken Martin won’t share has something to say about that.

This Christmas Ken Martin really should give his Democrats the gift of documented and analyzed party failure. Just don’t give it to YLB, who requires willing suspension of disbelief to continue in order to feel good about the DNC hierarchy.

It’s obvious from past posts when troll writes “trannies”, what he’s really thinking is “black people and women”. Don’t know why he doesn’t just come out and say that.
