At this point in time, when our democratic institutions are under as much pressure as they have ever been, when are society is as divided as it has ever been, those of us who choose to align themselves with Republicans, the party that is openly protecting pedophilia (the worst thing human beings can do to other human beings), and who are openly building support behind unchecked authoritarianism, are making such a choice. And that choice they are making defines their character.
They should be reminded of this fact at every opportunity.
In order to protect pedophiles from public exposure, House Republicans have now stayed out on extended vacation for more than one month.
