    Polls like this renew my faith in Americans. Most aren’t Trumpers, believe in democracy, and as numerous polls show, disapprove of (if not are appalled by) his abuses of power.

    The notion that the midterms will be close, and Democrats need to worry about Republicans gerrymandering a few more seats, is at odds with Trump’s deep unpopularity in virtually all the polls.

    Democrats aren’t popular either, but that’s in no small part due to a perception of not opposing Trump forcefully enough, a situation they can remedy by growing spines.

    Trump is a tyrant. The people can shut that down in the courts, with protests, and at the ballot box.
