Do Pledges of Bipartisanship Appeal to You?

by Josh Feit — Wednesday, 10/15/08, 10:38 pm

Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire and Republican challenger Dino Rossi like to talk a lot about bipartisanship and “reaching across the aisle.”

I guess it polls well.

But I think Washington voters are lying to the pollsters.

Check this out. Washington, right behind Oregon, is the most polarized state in the union.

Thanks Sightline thanks FiveThirtyEight.

No. Republicans wanted a civil war. I didn’t but as that’s what we have, someone’s gotta win and someone’s gotta lose, and better they lose than us. So I say, kick ’em when they’re up and kick ’em when they’re down, and when they’re all the way down — kick ’em into the grave!*

    * Just kidding! I’ll settle for their party being disbanded and their candidates never winning another election.

Is this some important political story?

Personally I don’t care dem, rep, ind, etc. It’s the ideas, history, accomplishments of the candidate.
