Hey gang, how was your weekend?

Just seeing the list of bills Governor Ferguson has signed, it looks mostly good. But other than the billionaire tax, nothing strikes me as particularly bold. Like, I don’t need every bill to be amazing, but I do want more.

I don’t know. Let’s he’s definitely better than any Republican would be. But, in a state that hasn’t elected a Republican governor since 1980, that’s not enough.

  1. Fat Hitler will die before admitting that he can’t secure the Strait of Hormuz without help. And the USN, its Senate sponsors, and giant contractors can’t allow any admission that their navy is shit at this kind of mission.

    But there is no reason NATO allies should assist Fat Hitler right after he threatens their sovereignty and attacks them economically.

    Of course not. Because oil prices don’t affect them. No effect at all on NATO nations’ consumer spending, interest rates, GDP.

    During an interview Sunday with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the UAE’s Minister for International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashimy said that the United Arab Emirates is “doubling down” on its agreements with the United States following continued attacks by Iran.

    “Our relationship with the U.S. is a longstanding strategic partnership. It’s a partnership that doesn’t falter in moments of crisis, but has been built on decades of trust and mutual respect,” Al-Hashimy said, adding that “this doesn’t deter us, because we’re also a resilient bunch, and we don’t take to being bullied around, either.”

    Al-Hashimy described Iran’s attacks over the last two weeks as “almost unhinged” and said it will not change the “dynamics” of Abu Dhabi’s agreements with the U.S. and Israel. “If anything, we are doubling down on our friends. We are further cementing the strong ties that bind us.”

    Next year Britain will have a new PM. Who will have a massive cleanup, both domestic and international.

    By next year the US will have plenty of new friends.
