    And they’re illegals, not “migrants”.

    Who were they?

DHS has since argued that each man sent to Venezuela had been “verified” as a gang member. But evidence shows that DHS used a “validation guide” which permitted people to be “validated” as gang members based solely on tattoos, clothing, or even being seen in a photograph with someone else DHS believed to be a gang member.

Making matters worse, experts on Tren de Aragua state that the gang doesn’t even use tattoos; meaning the entire premise of many of the “validations” carried out by DHS was faulty. As a result, many of those imprisoned in El Salvador were entirely innocent of any connection to gangs or criminality.

Most importantly, none of the men brought to the detention center in Texas were permitted any opportunity to challenge their designation as a gang member — they were simply hustled onto planes on March 15 and sent to El Salvador before they knew what was happening. In many cases, officials outright lied to the men before the planes took off, saying that they would be deported to Venezuela…

The men who were imprisoned in CECOT had cases in a variety of procedural postures. Some had already lost their cases and, like the Council’s client Edicson Quintero Chacón, were actively hoping to be deported back to Venezuela, while others had pending cases and strong asylum claims that had yet to be heard. Some have no ties to the United States, while others have family and loved ones there, with at least one person married to a U.S. citizen.

Claimed to have warrant to inspect employment records …

Go figure. ICE had just such a warrant:

Federal agents obtained two warrants to enter the facility, one to search the facility for evidence of hiring employees without legal documentation and the other was a “Blackie’s” warrant, intending to question “suspected aliens concerning their status and to arrest, without a warrant, aliens illegally present in the United States.”

ICE agents raid a NY Energy Drink Company. … illegally bust onto the bathroom.

Nothing illegal about the search for immigration law-breakers:

The Blackie’s warrant allows agents to enter a work site and look for people suspected of violating immigration law but does not name specific people. The footage shows them sorting people based in groups of visas and permit holders, U.S. citizens and people they need more information from. The warrant specifically only allows for “consensual conversation.”

So lemme get this straight… Using the same logic, if the DOJ refused one warrant one time it means it was illegal for the FBI to invade Mar a Lago, is that what you are telling me?

    Here:

    https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny/news/2025/11/20/body-camera-footage-shows-what-happened-inside-cato-ice-raid–

There are five different body cam videos on this page, so you can see for yourself just how illegal the searches pursuant to two different warrants were. Meaning there is no gain to be had from lying.

There were two female officers as part of the raid team, and it would have been better if one of those two were the ones who entered the women’s rest room. But as soon as they learned that there were women using the RR they called for female officers.

Historically, securing peace agreements protecting Israel does not reduce Israel’s security and economic dependence on the U.S. To the contrary, each peace agreement has broadened and deepened U.S. involvement economically and militarily in the region. We buy the agreements with long term commitments of support to the growing list of hostile nations and foreign businesses. While the U.S. falls further and further behind economically and our standard of living plummets.

You can now see it on the YouTube …

and in a couple of months you’ll be able to see it with some balance added.

Let’s not forget the fact that this 60 minutes segment was done by the same “reporter” and producer who insinuated that Ron DeSantis cut a deal for himself when he awarded the bulk of the COVID-19 vaccination contract to Publix, and edited out his immediate rebuttal to the allegation in which he pointed out that Publix was the only entity big enough to handle the deluge of customers:

“60 Minutes” is facing backlash for a story it aired Sunday on Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis — including from the supermarket chain Publix and two prominent Democrats in the state.

As part of a larger story about Florida’s vaccine rollout, the renowned newsmagazine program spotlighted a recent $100,000 donation that Publix made to DeSantis’ re-election bid.

The story, by correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi, suggested there was a possible link between the donation and the state’s partnership with Publix stores for vaccine distribution — a serious issue of foul play, if true.

It wasn’t true, of course. It was such blatantly false reporting that even Florida Democrats called bullshit on 60 Minutes:

But, beyond spotlighting the public finance records, “60 Minutes” never offered any substantive evidence to support the significant assertion and link the donation with the partnership.

After the report aired, the Democratic director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Democratic county mayor of Palm Beach County both publicly responded, saying that partnering with Publix was not suggested by anyone from DeSantis’ office.

In a Sunday night tweet directed at “60 Minutes,” Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz wrote, “I said this before and I’ll say it again. [Publix] was recommended by [Florida Division of Emergency Management] and [Florida Department of Public Health]. Period! Full stop!”

“No one from the Governors office suggested Publix,” Moskowitz added. “It’s just absolute malarkey.”

Bari Weiss had plenty of reason to question the story, not least of which was the duplicity of the reporter and producer. Dan Rather and Mary Mapes continue to live large at CBS News.

55)Their era has passed,, although one of the reasons they were reactivated in the 80s was a response to the Soviet Kirov class, what NATO/Intel called a Battle Cruiser. I’ve been wondering if adding more Guns and RAM launchers, possibly adapting the Israeli C-Dome, could be a counter to low cost drones that are an increasing threat. Not every threat needs to be dealt with by an expensive missile. May need something more than a DDG to add more missile cells, but the Navy is working on other ways to do that. Italians handle the drone CIWS with their Jack of all trades OTO Melara 76mm Super RapidRide, DDGs and Aircraft Carriers have at least three, Frigates have two.

    https://www.twz.com/sea/italian-destroyer-guns-down-houthi-drone-with-76mm-super-rapid-cannon

While waiting for RailGuns to be viable, an American equivalent would be to add 57mm Mk110s to various ships, they do have versions that don’t need deck-penetration. The main round has an Airburst mode. The drawback to the Mount not having deck penetrated ammo hoists, is the gun is limited to the 120 rounds in the Mount itself.

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Like millions of other Americans, Stacy Newton turns to Healthcare.gov to shop for health insurance for her family. The Affordable Care Act website, is where consumers are supposed to find “a menu of health insurance plans.”
But for the Newtons and many others in the country, next year’s menu is severely limited: There is only one company offering ACA plans in Teton County, WY — and costs have risen steeply. […] Premiums are rising, the covid-era subsidies that helped pay for those policies are shrinking, and there are fewer choices due to insurers pulling out of markets. That is leaving consumers such as the Newtons with little choice but to buy a pricey, unsubsidized policy from a local monopoly.
To continue health coverage for themselves and their two teenage children, the Newtons would have to pay an annual premium of $43,000 — about a third of their gross income. It is the price of the cheapest plan available to the family from the only ACA insurer left in Teton County.

Stephen Miller has erupted at “blatant jury nullification” after a Los Angeles tow truck driver was acquitted of stealing an ICE vehicle.
Bobby Nuñez, 33, was charged with theft of government property after towing away a locked ICE SUV—with its keys and firearm secured inside—during a chaotic immigration arrest in downtown Los Angeles on Aug.
During the multi-day trial, Nunez’s defense team argued that his actions barely interfered with the ICE arrest, noting that he had only towed the vehicle a block away and that it was retrieved within 13 minutes.
A federal jury found Nuñez not guilty after a four-day trial.
“Another example of blatant jury nullification in a blue city,” Miller wrote. “The justice system depends on a jury of peers with a shared system of interests and values. Mass migration tribalizes the entire legal system.”
    >> Jeez. His argument is that only white conservative people should be on the jury.

The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against
President Trump that were submitted to the
FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.

Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims.

… decided to replace the fleet of American made Chevrolets with BMWs because, ew…. not as cool.

FBI Director Kash Patel is flouting tradition by traveling in a luxury car instead of the department’s standard-issue SUVs.

If you had actually read the MSNOW piece you would have seen this:

“Government agencies, including the FBI, routinely evaluate, replace and update vehicle fleets based on usage, security needs or budgetary decisions,” he said. “The specific decisions referenced in this article were evaluated partly as a way to save taxpayers millions by picking cheaper selections or making cost structures more efficient.”

The government has a contract with BMW for the armored luxury SUVs; specifically, the State Department uses them to protect diplomats and other officials in high-risk environments around the world.

The US government will be ordering as many as 600 of the BMW armored sedans over a 10-year period, according to a plan established prior to the DJT47 Trump administration that 50% of armored vehicles be OEM by FY2025 (which began in October, 2024, when Biden was president).

The BMW is the same model as that used overseas by US diplomats in the State Department. Apparently BMW does better at armoring vehicles as part of the manufacturing process and has a better global maintenance/repair network than does GM. All of this was determined before Patel was confirmed.

The Department of State plans to award a sole-source Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to BMW of North America for one base year and nine one-year option periods. The contract will cover the procurement of armored midsize BMW X5 and X7 SUVs, as well as 7 Series sedans, in both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) configurations for DS/DEAV. Further details are available in the attached JOFOC.

    https://sam.gov/opp/61d078f4242a4f5caac13fe9fcc273db/view

Finally, the Chevrolet Suburban starts at $63,400. The BMW X5 starts at $67,600. How silly is the liberal argument that by using a vehicle used elsewhere in government, at similar cost to the government, Kash Patel is somehow living large at our expense.

Liberals are incredibly weak if they think that this silliness is getting them anywhere. It might be clickbait for the likes of YLB, sure. But the success of the liberal approach to keeping the likes of YLB entertained was undoubtedly included in that DNC report that Ken Martin won’t let see the light of day.

US economy grew strongly in third quarter, GDP report says
The Fed’s decisions is also clouded by a lack of data. As has been the case with other key economic reports, the latest GDP figures had been held back by the government shutdown, which lasted from 1 October to 12 November and furloughed government workers, including those responsible for collecting economic data.
The growth figure is propped up by a mathematical quirk in falling imports, non-productive government spending, and highly suspect data imputations necessitated by the shutdown.
The GDI growth and the spike in the price index show a stagflationary environment where income is failing to keep pace with a re-acceleration of costs.
Consider, given troll math, if a single billionaire gets a $50 million tax break and another ten thousand people get nothing, it can be stated that the ‘average’ taxpayer gets a $5000 reduction.

Each and every quarterly GDP analysis is reported three times. So the first two, if you will, are reported with “asterisks”. Due to the Democrat-caused government shutdown the first report was not issued, until today.

Feel free to argue that the third and final GDP report should come with an asterisk. It’s true that the final number might tick down by a tenth or so. But the July-September quarter blew the doors off of the estimate. A slight modification in the final number won’t change that reality.

You’re upset that the number was incredibly positive, and you have nothing more to say than it’s not a final number. Well, the second report is never final. It’s why the BEA refers to it as an estimate.

I wonder if YLB has any idea that Chips Act funds were used by DJT47 to purchase a 9.9 percent stake in Intel. Essentially, the Act would otherwise have required Intel to pay back funds to the US government for not keeping its end of the deal in a Chips Act grant.

The US forgave that requirement in exchange for Intel shares. Which apparently was a good deal for the US, as the shares were purchased at $20.47 but now trade at $36.30 or so. 80% return in 4 months is pretty good, no?

It’s such a good boost in share price that pre-existing Intel shareholders probably don’t mind that the deal diluted their ownership of the company.

… taken a hit for bad decisions or falling behind the competition.

    An understatement.

The US bought a piece of Intel due to national security concerns. Intel otherwise would have been sold and broken up, with a substantial portion bought by Taiwan Semiconductor.

Intel was dying and circling the drain. DJT47 threw it a lifeline, probably correctly.

In 2021 I bought a Macbook Pro, and chose the Intel processor because I thought that Nuance speech recognition software would work better on an Intel-powered PC. No reason to make that concession today. The Mac I bought earlier this month has an Apple processor.

Intel has increasingly fewer reasons to justify its existence. Same was true for Chrysler, and look what happened: The US threw a ton of cash at saving it, and now it’s in foreign hands, generally producing shit vehicles outside the Mercedes brand.

UF president Ben Sasse has announced that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The only senator who could match his brain power is Elizabeth Warren.

So “brainy” he spent, in the words of the immortal bonzo raygun, “like a drunken sailor”:

Since Sasse’s resignation, he has since faced bipartisan scrutiny after The Alligator first reported Monday that he had tripled his office’s spending — a majority of which was for lucrative consulting contracts and high-paid, remote positions for GOP allies.

He spent $17.3 million in his first year in office. The figure was far higher than the $5.6 million in spending during the final year of the previous president, Kent Fuchs, who has agreed to return as interim president through 2025.

In a new statement Friday, Sasse disputed reports of any inappropriate spending but acknowledged there have been spending increases by his office.

This week, the DeSantis administration urged the Board of Governors, which oversees Florida’s public universities, to conduct an audit of what the state’s chief financial officer, Jimmy Patronis, called “reports of UF’s exorbitant spending by Ben Sasse’s office.” Patronis, a member of the governor’s Florida Cabinet, said his agency specializes in investigating fraud, waste and abuse, and would offer support in such an audit.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who represents the congressional district in Florida’s Panhandle, called it “this widening Ben Sasse scandal” and said DeSantis wants no part of it.

    https://www.alligator.org/article/2024/08/reason-behind-sasse-departure

We also learn his wife had a stroke back in 2007 and the cover story for his resignation was her worsening condition. And she home schooled her children save for the youngest when she couldn’t manage any longer. Sad story all around.

Nope, no closest socialists are going teach those kids no matter private or (horrors) public school. No finer example of klownservaturdism exists.

The Supreme Court said Tuesday that it would not allow President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard in the Chicago area for now, a significant setback for his campaign to push troops into cities across the country over the objections of local and state leaders.

The president’s ability to federalize the National Guard likely only applies “exceptional” circumstances, the court’s unsigned order said.

“At this preliminary stage, the Government has failed to identify a source of authority that would allow the military to execute the laws in Illinois,” it added.

The decision, while temporary, could have far-reaching effects by repudiating Trump’s efforts to mobilize and deploy troops he says are necessary to fight crime and protect immigration enforcement officers.
