    The federal Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Agriculture are talking tougher.

    Friday morning, Attorney General Eric Holder told an overflow crowd at Alabama A&M University that finding violations of antitrust law in the agriculture industry was “a top priority for today’s Justice Department.”
    Someone should ask

    Someone needs to ask sheriff Pusser er… um… I mean, Reichert where he’s at on violations of antitrust law in agriculture and what he’s been doing to help uphold those antitrust laws. He’s the sheriff after all.

    Rural businesses with 10 or fewer full time employees will be eligible for $45.1 million in federal loans and technical assistance grants from the feds, Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced.

    “This new program will help provide access to capital, business-based training and technical assistance to the smallest of small businesses,” said Vilsack. “We need to embrace new strategies to help create a thriving rural economy,”
