Mask mandates may be coming back to King County. I think it would be good for public transportation. I mean vaccination and boosters are probably better than masks, but it’s not an either-or situation. So I don’t know enough, but it doesn’t hurt to wear one. As you probably know from my now rote sign off, I think you should be vaccinated and boosted. So I am glad to see Governor Inslee pushing booster mandates (item two) for state employees. COVID-19 is still deadly and still spreading through the community. Good morning. Starbucks is closing several locations. They are claiming that it’s because of crime, because that’s the catchall excuse for anyone in this town deciding to act shitty. It seems more likely that it’s in response to their recent unionization.

Many in the local media are taking Starbucks at their word. This morning, KUOW did a piece on the closure of the 23rd and Jackson location. They mention crime specifically, so it’s not just a general it’s closing story. But nothing about union busting. Sad, guys.
