I don’t know if there’s anything I can add to the disgust felt at Tucker Carlson’s tweet.”The administration boasts about sending women to the front lines on the same day Democrats push the Violence Against Women Act.”
If this was an indictment of the fact that anyone is in combat, I guess you could make a case that it wasn’t terrible (although opposition to the VAWA is still bad on its own). But given that he supported the Iraq war, it’s tough to make that case. But women volunteering for combat, knowing the risks is somehow equivalent to domestic violence. It’s sickening. We should both pass the VAWA and let women serve in combat. Jesus.

I’m as liberal as the next guy, and War to me is an utterly appalling human activity. But I also understand that as long as we allow the greedy and sociopathic to rule over us, war will always exist. That being said, I don’t have an issue with women in combat roles. The reality is, whats going to happen is most of the ones that are ending up there would be firing artillery or they’d medics and corpsmen and probably operating tanks and armored vehicles such.
Methinks the reality is that hand-to-hand combat ability is going to become increasingly irrelevant. Who needs a swinging dick with an automatic rifle humping the bush when one can sit in a temperature controlled office with a cup of coffee 6500 miles away and destroy little images on a computer screen?

Hmm…. Just wondering how Tucker Carlson saying something completely out of touch and asshole-ish is news? If he’d said something kind or relevant, I could see that as being news worthing as he’s been a part of the national media for years and that hasn’t happened yet.

Tucker Carlson?
Remind me what branch of the Armed Services the bow tie wearing patriot served with.

Roger Rabbit Commentary: Who cares what Robbie says? He’s done with politics anyway. There’s too much money to be made in corporate law practice. Unlike three-time loser Dino Rossi, McKenna has a marketable job skill.

I guess Tucker Carlson has not heard of the IDF Caracal Battalion, an Infantry Unit that is mostly female, and of both Jewish and Arab Descent.

The battalion has a few different rules, such as the female volunteers are also signing up for an extra year of service. In their first action, there was one member that hid in the bushes, but that person, who reported the contact with terrorists, by the way, got reprimanded. The ret of the unit excelled in action.

I suppose if the VAWA had existed when Clinton was governor, Paula Jones could have had him arrested and prosecuted.

Its like you read my thoughts! You seem to know so much approximately this, such as you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you could do with a few p.c. to pressure the message home a little bit, but other than that, that is great blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.

I never really liked Tucker Carlson all that much, but he was once capable of making lucid statements and valid points occasionally.
I guess that his masters must’ve taken him of his meds since then.
