Congratulations to the Attorney General’s victory in the Post Office case. Long term, we’ll have to staff the Post Office with people who aren’t dedicated to destroying it.
Anyway, wash your hands right now.

Are you surviving the smoke? It’s pretty gross. I live in the urban core, and according to Google Maps the farthest building I could see from my window is less than half a mile. And even that is an improvement from earlier in the week.
If you have to work outside, or go outside for any reason, I feel for you. Gross, gross, gross.
And, you still have to wash your hands. So wash your hands right now.

Another day, another threat from Amazon. I don’t know if it’s pandemic, or otherwise business related. Or trying to scare Seattle once again. The article mentions that they are moving some things to Redmond, a city with a head tax.
Anyway, wash your hands right now.

Sorry it’s so late! I had to get up early for work and then I forgot to write this. So I thought that I would write it at lunch, but that slipped my mind when I was making lunch. Then I went for a walk right after work and now it’s past 8:30…
Anyway, wash your hands right now.

The people who make police accountability more difficult make defunding more likely. Now we find out more about the investigation of the King County deputy who shot a man in the back. It’s pretty grim stuff. From an investigation clearly meant to exonerate to lying to the media, this investigation was no good.
As the article mentions, Initiative 940 passed since then provides more accountability. So I hope that will prevent situations like this from happening again. But if it doesn’t, I don’t know what to do other than defunding.
Anyway, wash your hands right now.

Did you go against my advice and watch the Republican convention? I saw clips and it seemed like they didn’t know what to do with speeches without an audience. The speakers would build and build and pause to a second of awkward silence.
The President solved this problem with massive norms and probably legal violations. That’s probably also going to be remembered more as a super spreader event than for anything he said. Disgusting.
But not disgusting is you washing your hands right now.

Will you be watching the Republican convention? I will not. It’s probably irresponsible to watch when there are people there live. Is it encouraging a potential super spreader event? And of course it will be a hate filled event for an awful people. I say give it a pass.
But don’t pass on washing your hands. Do it right now.

I think that the Democratic Convention went pretty well. Probably too many Republicans, but as long as they were just talking about Biden is good people and not pushing policy, whatever. Kamala Harris and Barack Obama probably had the best speeches by politicians.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now.

It’s good to have an Attorney General like Bob Ferguson. I was a constituent of his on the King County Council. I have to say I was not really a fan then.
But whatever my skepticism looked like then, he has been great as AG. So it’s no surprise that he is leading a coalition of attorneys general to save the Post Office. Hopefully there will still be something to save.
Anyway, wash your hands right now.
