What a time. Glad you’re around.
- It’s good to have an AG’s office that looks out for consumers.
- If you’re going to be a micromanager, you are going to slow things down.
- $10 Million because the city council said it’s bad to hang out with a terrorist?
- Car free Pike Place is great. And also good for business.

How may Dems still think fucking with redistricting was a good idea?
I held back on the Fidelity Investments news because I wanted to put it in the Wednesday thread. Glad I did, because it gave Vanguard time to match Fidelity’s move:
SPLC lost its way decades ago. SPLC needs all of the Civil Rights Act to remain relevant, and SCOTUS has made it clear even this morning that we’re not ’60s racist southern Democrats anymore. Just racist SPLC thugs.
@2
Fidelity and Vanguard will get sued withing days and all will be normal.
Virtue signaling.
Elon Musk wishes you a pleasant Wednesday.
Regular unleaded up another $.06 overnight.
@ 3
Fidelity and Vanguard will get sued withing days…
TOS.
Sure, they’ll be sued. Pretty sure they can afford to proceed to discovery.
TOS.
@2
Also the settlement with the Justice department gets bigger as they:
Filed with knowingly false information.
Filed with intent to damage reputation
Caused financial hardship
The three prongs are met when the initial hearing tosses the charges with prejudice.
$115bbl
Gonna take a lot more gerrymandering to make this “Give us another two years” thing work.
@ 5
Regular unleaded up another $.06 overnight.
There’s a Native American-owned station on Fidalgo Island a couple of miles north of Deception Pass. Yesterday I paid $5.959/gallon for diesel.
The extra $25 or so this cost me compared with the last time I filled up is easily dismissed when considering the gains in my holdings of CVX, HAL, SHEL, SU, USO, and my sold negative XOM puts.
War is profitable even if you don’t own defense stocks.
@ 8
Gonna take a lot more gerrymandering to make this “Give us another two years” thing work.
Gonna take a lot more gerrymandering to undo the 2030 Census, Democrats. Your problem is you’ve already gerrymandered the shit out of every useful state. Now all you can do is watch the GOP catch up, while more and more higher-earning and more productive taxpayers move from blue states to red states.
Vance’s 2028 victory will be a close one but his re-election will be a landslide.
I can wait.
The ever changing story.
So despite days of saying the security was fine, the secret service shot the suspect and then took him into custody and all the other stuff…
Secret service wasn’t involved until after the perimeter was breached, the suspect was shot at four times by hotel security and all four missed…
And the lying troll, as a deluded MAGA cult chud, thinks disco is a good thing for either firm or for the DOJ.
When civil disco produces felony counts we call that a twofer.
@10
Totally doesn’t get why Colorado, once red is now reliably blue.
Something about college educated moving into red states.
WA and AZ aren’t getting more seats in your fantasy
@ 2, 3, 6, 7
That last bullet point is a bitch, isn’t it?
https://www.fidelitycharitable.org/content/dam/fc-public/docs/programs/fidelity-charitable-program-guidelines.pdf
the kreepee misogynist troll of widbee (pretending NOT to be that way since 10/5/2025, thanks minder!) babbles that yours truly is prejudiced against Hindus and Indians..
heh.. well here’s a brave woman who hales from the subcontinent living for a short spell among the “very fine people” that kreepee dumbfuck fellow travels with when it’s not one of them explicitly:

Oh my bad.. The brave woman is a Pakistani Muslim.. Apart from her skin being a bit darker like an Indian Hindu – she doesn’t “count”.
@ 13
WA and AZ aren’t getting more seats in your fantasy
No worries. OR and NM will each lose one.
The fantasy is a 13 EV gain for the GOP.
Where dumbfuck argues DOJ already admitting they don’t have evidence that any funds supported ‘terrorists’ or any of the other disqualifying parts of the TOS don’t disappear when…
The trial judge grants the initial motion to dismiss with prejudice.
Allegations are not facts.
@ 13
Totally doesn’t get why Colorado, once red is now reliably blue.
Totally doesn’t get what happens when states move left:
Politics and Government
Providing health care to immigrants who are children or pregnant is costing Colorado 611% more than expected
The state predicts that the Covering All Coloradans program will cost Colorado $104.5 million in the fiscal year that began July 1. Nonpartisan fiscal analysts estimated the cost would be $14.7 million.
Joe Biden’s midnight flights might have dumped them in Texas but they didn’t stay there.
Enjoy the “benefits” of the Biden open borders policies, Coloradans. Maybe try some lube with them.
already gerrymandered the shit out of every useful state.
Now do Florida..
Several of those districts have high concentrations of Latino voters, who have sharply turned away from Trump amid an affordability crisis and aggressive interior enforcement of immigration laws against longtime residents. The 22nd District is 33 percent Hispanic and the 25th District is nearly 29 percent Hispanic, according to Dave’s Redistricting. The 26th, 27th, and 28th Districts are all a whopping 73 percent Hispanic. The 14th District in the Tampa area is around 28 percent Hispanic.
The result, then, could be a dummymander—an attempt to gain seats that goes so awry that it actually loses them. If Democrats sweep all potentially contested races and win nine House seats, that would reflect a pickup of one relative to the current 20-8 map.
https://prospect.org/2026/04/29/could-new-florida-congressional-map-be-dummymander/
And do TexASS for that matter…
@ 17
Allegations are not facts.
Yo, Jacoby. Allegations resulting in investigation by the government are all that are needed for the gift funds to cease funding. Once those investigations advance to indictments, facts are assumed until disproven by a jury’s evaluation.
You didn’t bitch when Minnesota finally pulled the support of all of those fraudulent school lunch programs even though nothing had yet been proven, I note.
I don’t think the attorneys at Fidelity and Vanguard are losing any sleep over their moves.
Here’s some more horse race polls so we can all enjoy watching the lying troll’s head explode.
First the polls.
Conservatives4America is a Republican House PAC. Yesterday they released these 9 polls they fielded in March, presumably to steer around FEC rules against campaign coordination. With all the money they and other GOP PACs have this year there are many dozens more such polls they are holding back, at least for now. I mentioned yesterday when the lying troll was sobbing uncontrollably about the bad polls in Texas, that many GOP consultants are pushing to spend to defend there, reasoning that they can message their way out of the jamb they are in. C4A is bascially run by Rep. August Pfluger (of Pflugerville fame – for more please see The Austin Lounge Lizards) on behalf of the Republican Study Committee. So it’s all about Texas.
So this is also C4A’s way of signaling to other PACs that these are 9 districts that C4A and the Republican Study Committee will not be investing much in this year. So coordination among PACs. But also an indication of early concern. Why? Because these 9 MAGA incumbent districts are not at all in good shape.
How so? First, the MAGA Insane Failing Cult Leader is underwater in all of them. Dems are winning the generic ballot in some of these MAGA incumbent districts. And MAGA Republicans are leading by only one or two points in a couple of them. And in AZ incumbent MAGA cult chud Juan Ciscomani is trailing his Dem challenger, JoAnna Mendoza in the head-to-head horse race.
Of course it’s still very early. How early? Basically none of the Dems have even begun to advertise. And neither have any of the outside, dark money PACs. Thus the reason for the release of the early polls. To recruit other PACs into these struggling MAGA districts and perhaps to goad the Dems into spending too early. But what it also tells me is that this very prominent House GOP PAC, by abandoning these districts early, is pretty fucking freaked out about Texas.
Yay!
That’s one of the big reasons C4A is shifting to Texas, away from other vulnerable races. Because their early polling is indicating a big loss of MAGA vote share among Latinos in Texas. The worst of these 9 districts in CO and AZ are showing the same shift.
