Either Gore or Kerry would have been far superior to Bush. Don’t forget, it took 2 stolen elections for Bush to get in, and Bush was “re-elected” with the smallest margin of any incumbent since 1916.

Exactly what did GBS post here that isn’t true? NONE of the wingnut pols/mouthpieces he mentioned served in the military. Some, like Cheney, were big-time shirkers. That’s the whole goddam problem — the people running our government never served in the military, therefore have no clue what is possible and what isn’t, and have blithely sent our troops afield on mission impossible because they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing. They got all their knowledge of war-fighting from watching “Combat” on TV in the 50s.
