– I am glad to see Democrats competing everywhere in Washington.

– Fearmongering about transit safety could at least get their statistics right.

– Just fucking let the nude beachgoers be, SPD. Gosh.

– Anyway contact your legislator or member of Congress. They want to hear from you, and if they don’t, then they need to hear from you.

According to your SPD they are currently very woefully understaffed and piling up mounds of overtime because they just can’t seem to hire and train enough dog shooters and pedestrian killers to respond to many very high priority calls for service and even stopped investigating rapes.

It certainly was criminal that Welfare Queen YLB was duped into believing that Biden’s poor debate performance was simply because he “had a cold.”

Psaki didn’t entertain the notion of a political cover-up from her former colleagues.

“It’s a very loaded term, I think. A cover-up is often like a crime. People use that term when they refer to Watergate or the covering up of not sharing public information and about a war,” she said.

The former presidential spokesperson said it was “dangerous” for people to claim there was a cover-up in the Biden administration when there hadn’t been any criminal charges filed.

Well, we sure saw a lot of pardons granted all of a sudden, just as Democrats started feeling OK to begin speaking about what was really happening in the White House.

Strains escalated last Thursday after the fourth round of US-Iran nuclear talks was abruptly postponed just days before they were set to begin in Rome. On the same day, President Donald Trump issued a stark warning: any country or individual purchasing oil or petrochemicals from Iran would be subject to immediate US sanctions.

“They will not be allowed to do business with the United States of America in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, reaffirming his administration’s hard-line stance.

“We will keep buying Iranian oil. What are you going to do about it. Stop buying phones and computers and televisions and car parts and toys and dolls and pencils and …” China

Despite US efforts to strangle its oil trade, Tehran is still exporting an estimated 1.2 million to 1.5 million barrels of crude per day, according to commodity analytics firms Kpler and Vortexa.

That marks a sharp recovery from mid-2020, when a combination of sanctions and the COVID-19 pandemic had driven exports to below 400,000 barrels a day.

Most of Iran’s crude is sold at a discount to China, which has emerged as its most consistent buyer despite the threat of US sanctions.

Some reason I can’t take your cue and apply the worst behavior of some of the illegal aliens to the entire lot of them?

Yes. There’s one very good reason.

The paranoid Nazi Fucktard won’t do it in court.

Every J6 terrorist received due process. They either allocuted to their crimes, or a jury found them guilty. They had access to appeal their trial convictions or even to challenge their own pleas. And in every single case, in every trial, their crimes were specified with valid, verifiable evidence that was presented to their own defense attorney well in advance through criminal discovery. The evidence against them was specific and individualized and fully produced and made public in every case. Many of them even produced it themselves by filming themselves breaking the law and then bragging about it!

And no photoshops of make believe tattoos were ever involved.

So the delusion the paranoid Nazi Fucktard has settled on is the one where he admits that they got away with murdering cops while trying to assasinate Vice President Pence, and that led to them feeling pressured to plead to the lesser charges.

    Another very strong post.

He has little to say about Ford‘s EV sales decline everywhere

    Sure I do.

Ford like many other very large, successful, mature, established global car and truck makers followed Tesla’s early lead, focusing on very affluent car buyers in limited markets to help them bear the enormous “early adopter” cost of developing a lot of all new technology. But it’s looking like that limited market of consumers is close to saturated and the panache of being an early adopter is going into decline.

So now they all are faced with another daunting challenge which is figuring out how to make EVs affordable to the masses. Unlike the paranoid Nazi Fucktard I didn’t go long on the newest and shittiest of these companies at $400. So I’m not forced to Stan for overpriced shitboxes. I don’t have a dog in this fight. I don’t even own an EV (well, I have one hybrid).

But if I had to choose I’d get behind the companies with established global presence, diversified revenue streams, and more than a century of experience making and selling affordable cars to the masses. And not the company getting sued because it can’t pay its utility bills or loses track of $1.4 billion like a misplaced set of keys.

A decade from now Ford will almost certainly look very different from today. But a decade from now Tesla might no longer be an independent brand. And if that happens it certainly can’t happen at a $400 per share price, or even a $280 per share price. It’s most likely to happen below $200.

It represents something very strong very powerful in terms of law and order. Our country needs law and order. Alcatraz is uh I would say the ultimate right, Alcatraz. Sing Sing (eds note, a STATE prison) and Alcatraz uh, the movies. But uh it’s right now a museum believe it or not a lot of people go there. It housed the uh most violent criminals in the world and nobody ever escaped. One person almost got there but they as you know the story they found his clothing rather badly ripped up and, uh, it was just a lot of shark bites* it’s uh, a lot of, a lot of problems. Nobody’s ever escaped from Alcatraz and just represented something, uh, strong having to do with law and order. We need law and order in this country and so we’re going to uh look at it. Some of the people up here are going to be working very hard on that.

Forecasts could change, and quickly, especially if the Trump administration doesn’t strike tariff deals soon with China and other large trading partners — or, conversely, if it does.

Barrons magazine, May 5, 2025 print edition, page 22.

@35 Let’s take Bob’s fever dreams one at a time.

    • Higher prices: Inflation rate was 3.0% in January, 2.8% in February, 2.4% in March. So, the rate of inflation is declining rapidly and is approaching the Fed target of 2.0%.

Wait until tariffs kick in, then see what happens to inflation.

    • Job losses: On Friday the BLS informed that 177,000 new jobs were created during the month of April. Revised job growth in March was 185,000. February was 102,000. So no net job losses yet. You can keep hoping, Welfare Queen YLB.

It’s still early for Trump’s policies to impact employment. Slower hiring is likely to accompany the slowing economy as the year goes on.

    • Recession: A forecast @ 34 Q2 gain in GDP of 2.4% isn’t anywhere close to a recession, Welfare Queen YLB. Brokerage houses are scrambling to revise their recent overly pessimistic predictions.

A GDP reading of 2.4% is a “gain” only compared to the negative-GDP first quarter. GDP grew 2.4% in the fourth quarter and 3.1% in the third quarter of 2024. The reality is the economy is slowing.

Economists are divided on whether there will be a recession, and that may depend on whether the Federal Reserve decides to trade higher inflation for avoiding one. But Trump can’t burden the consumer economy with hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs without getting inflation, an economic slowdown, or both. That’s just simple math.

We won two World Wars, but we never took credit for it — Everyone else does! All over the World, the Allies are celebrating the Victory we had in World War II. The only Country that doesn’t celebrate is the United States of America, and the Victory was only accomplished because of us. Without the United States, the War would have been won by other Countries, and what a different World it would be.
Therefore, I am hereby declaring a National Holiday in celebration of the Victories of World War I, where the Armistice was signed on November 11, 1918, and World War II, where the Victory date was May 8, 1945. We will not be closing the Country for these two very important Holidays, November 11 and May 8, World War I and World War II, because we already have too many Holidays in America — There are not enough days left in the year. We were Workers then, and we are Workers now! Documentation to follow. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

The order, now set aside, instructed these law firms to refuse to accept these clients. That’s intended to deprive plaintiffs like Judge Riggs of the effective representation of counsel ahead of next year’s mid term elections.

So it’s a clear signal that the MAGA game plan for 2026 is to selectively destroy ballots and steal elections everywhere they can.

The county cherry-picking, or something else?

The cherry-picking by corrupt Republican MAGA fascists of which specific groups of mail ballots to destroy in order to obtain the desired outcome of awarding the election to the MAGA Republican numerical loser.

Substantive due process was denied to the carefully selected class of voters by anti-democratic authoritarian MAGA Republicans to be given no opportunity to “cure” a ballot error introduced by the same MAGA authoritarians after voting was complete.

Equal protection (as articulated in Bush v. Gore) was denied to members of another class of voters, only some of whose members were carefully selected by the fascists to be granted an novel and massively extended time frame in which to cure their ballots.

It was a massively orchestrated corrupt scheme to introduce new election rules after the election. And then to apply those new rules selectively in order to prop up the unpopular Republican loser. We will see this repeated nationwide in dozens of states and hundreds of congressional districts next year.

After Fat Hitler Steals Christmas in 2025 it’s the only way Republicans have to avoid a wipeout in 2026.

    Personal Finance
Trump’s tax package could include ‘SALT’ deduction relief. Here’s who stands to benefit

Generally, higher earners would benefit most from raising the SALT deduction limit, experts say.

For example, one proposal, which would remove the “marriage penalty” in federal income taxes, involves increasing the cap on the SALT deduction for married couples filing jointly from $10,000 to $20,000.

That would offer almost all the tax break to households making more than $200,000 per year, according to a January analysis from the Tax Policy Center.

“If you raise the cap, the people who benefit the most are going to be upper-middle income,” said Howard Gleckman, senior fellow at the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center.

Ah, but the best part is that Welfare Queen YLB’s two fucked kids will foot the bill for it.

I just sat through a 90-minute webinar sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association and keynoted by retired D.C. Court of Appeals Judge Thomas B. Griffith, a Bush appointee. The other panelists were law professors from the three Washington state law schools (UW, Seattle U., and Gonzaga). About 2,100 Washington lawyers and legal professionals watched this, according to the program chair.

This panel largely agreed Trump’s second term is the second-worst constitutional crisis in American history, the Civil War being #1, and that rule of law is limited ability to stand up for itself and needs citizen support. Judge Griffith pointed to a recent Iowa townhall at which Sen. Grassley’s own constituents challenged him about Trump’s defiance of court orders in the Abrego Garcia case.

The panelists spent little time on that case, but it came up, and they all emphasized what I’ve been saying here, that it’s not about the individual but about Trump’s defiance of the court orders in the case. Doctor Dumbfuck keeps insisting Abrego Garcia is a bad guy, but that has nothing to do with it; these legal experts, compared to whom the dumbfuck doctor is an intellectual mite, agree it’s the principle that matters.

Reading materials for this seminar include an article here, a Law Review article here, and Judge Griffith recommended this book, which is available at the Seattle, King County, and Freeland libraries.

These legal experts agree, and I agree, that rule of law and separation of powers are good things, and Trump’s assaults on the rule of law and separation of powers aren’t good, but I can’t speak for dumbfucks on these issues.

@110 Oh look, the dumbfuck ASS U MEs Trump’s budget asks, including one of the most expensive provisions, will be enacted intact by a deeply divided House GOP that can’t agree on spending or tax cuts that would further inflate deficits (Freedom Caucus) as opposed to must-have asks (purple-state GOPers).

I won’t say raising the SALT deduction is DOA in the House, because it’s really high-priority for New York Republicans especially, but if any increase at all makes it through the sausage maker, the amount seems sure to get bargained downward.

As for Trump’s submitted budget, it’s merely his talking points, and only a fool thinks it’ll be adopted as is.

… will be enacted intact by a deeply divided House GOP …

Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit fails to consider the number of blue state Democrats who desperately want that full deduction – meaning no limit at the upper end – restored for their well-off constituents.

Think NY, CT, NJ, MA residents, all of whom pay lots of property tax, state income tax, and local income tax, as well as sales taxes, and would love to deduct that from their federal taxable income.

There is ample record of these Democrat congresscritters who have advocated for the full SALT deduction restoration. So absolutely, there will be a substantial number of Republicans who don’t support it. But an even greater number of Democrats will.

If DJT47 wants this badly enough he won’t have to work that hard to get it. And it’s another of his campaign promises. Blue state Democrats will help him keep it.
