Job 1
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

    Liberals punch up. They feel that would have better lives if they were not being oppressed by the rich and powerful and blame the rich and powerful for their problems.

    Conservatives punch down. They feel they would have better lives if they weren’t being oppressed by the poor and powerless and blame the poor and powerless for their problems.

    The FBI did everything to help Hillary Clinton except to prevent her from losing.

    @2 A lot of people like to compare politics to sports. It’s not a bad comparison, but the approach has problems. After all the guy speaking has a host of professional athletes in their stable. Their job is just as much about entertainment than their team winning the pennant. Not all sports are team sports, and there is this problem in that men and women are different. Most men have participated in a team sport, many women have not. You always have a key player or two on your team that can put the ball in the basket or the puck in the goal. Sometimes the whole team can ride on their shoulders and has nothing if that key player has a bad night. The typical great team is like the Mariners. Several key layers, but not so great or key that the understudy can’t step in and fulfill the role.

    It would also appear that Hilliary literally lost to a star, maybe not as big as Ronald Reagan, but that is the standards of the American people and what they think is important. There is no requirement one has a law degree, or political science degree, or ny BA unless the American people thin, it’s important. And well as far as being a star with the American people most think the Kardassians are far more interesting any day of the week than Hilliary and wish she would just go away. Maybe if Hilliary becomes a transgender and becomes a man, but the American voter is fickle and may think that would be just a political stunt.

    @4 You know they said things like that about Cornelilius Vanderbilt, Rockerfeller, and Carnegie and with some of the Robber Barons it’s true that they did murder people directly or indirectly. And in American business it’s good to be known as a killer, even if one is not literally a killer. Many successful business people are well dicks, and not nice people.

    @7 It also shows the whole thing is just a circus. Just smoke and mirrors, The special prosecutor should work strictly for congress whether he is a lifelong hyena or giraffe. At the end of the day unless congress acts it is meaningless. And generally former Presidents and Presidential contenders are immune from prosecution (unless they are communists) after they are out of office. If you all are serious about Trump paying for alleged crimes then all of you should demand Hilliary Clinton be prosecuted for her crimes, and insist on a special prosecutor, that the party turn over the servers to the FBI, ect. That the democratic leadership be transparent, and show the emails.

    @11 The Weimar republic was fine. In fact German society bloomed. The fact that a bad peace, and a less than robust political system that allowed a minor political party take over like it was a Central American tin democracy is not the fault of the Germans. It easily could have been the communists who finally prevailed. Oh my war in Europe, perhaps an actual shooting war on Germany’s western border and Poland defended by the last Pole as Russia comes in to defend their brothers in arms, and Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and a bit of Finland.
