    If you have a child or grandchild having difficulties with math, khan academy.org is a free tutorial web site available to all. Sal Khan covers just about everything to do with math, from basic counting through differential equations and more. He even has tutorials and videos on such things as art history and electrical engineering.

    For those inclined to help out a bit, the web site also provides for users to make contributions to keep Khan Academy going. I’ve made a couple myself over the past few months.

    The khanacademy.org is an outstanding site, my daughter has used it several times to get a different perspective on math being taught at her school.

    There was a time that the second most printed book in the world was by Euclid (the most printed book was that world-wide best seller of fiction, the bible).

    Our current set of trolls and red-state voters see no need for such nonsense as science and math, their ancestors were probably the reason the library in Alexandria was burned to the ground

    Last November #CrookedHillary took 282,830 votes, 90.9%, in Washington, D.C.

    In 2012 Obama took a minimally greater percentage of the DC vote, 91.4%, but only 232,332 votes.

    Anyone know why the DC electorate grew by 20+% between 2012-2016? The DC Clinton juggernaut? Some sort of massive GOTV? Massive personal preference for #CrookedHillary over Obama?

    OK, that last one wasn’t serious.

    @7 – I think it was around the 12th Century when some powerful Islamic “scholar” stated that mathematics was the work of the Devil or some other such nonsense. That was when the leaders in science and mathematics, the Muslims, stopped being the leaders and became fourth-rate people. We use Arabic numbers in the US and the West. Arabic numerals are used pretty much world-wide. Yet, in Saudi Arabia, the heart of Islam, they use a number system invented by another culture and religion.

    Islam is in desperate need of reform and modernization.

    Biden really not helpful to #CrookedHillary’s efforts to blame her latest loss on someone else.

    During a closed-door appearance with Romney here on Friday evening, Biden said Romney should consider a Senate bid. The remark came during the second day of the E2 Summit, an annual Romney-hosted donor conference. Attendees were gathered to hear a dialogue between the two men, who were on opposite sides of the 2012 election.
