The Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally has a new home! After more than two months of searching, the group has decided to settle at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle.
So please join us for a housewarming celebration this Tuesday evening. We meet at 8:00 pm, but some folks show up even earlier than that for dinner.
Can’t make it to Seattle? Check out another Washington state DL over the next week. The Tri-Cities chapter also meets on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, the Bellingham and Burien chapters meet. And on Thursday, the Woodinville chapter meets.
With 215 chapters of Living Liberally, including nineteen in Washington state, four in Oregon, and three more in Idaho, chances are excellent there’s a chapter meeting somewhere near you.

It is fascinating to watch scientific theories being tested by new findings. Those theories that survive the process become the building blocks of new theories which in turn get tested.

@1 So strange to contrast that mentality of constantly testing theories against reality with the science deniers where no amount of reality is allowed to contradict what they believe.

Something for you to discuss tomorrow:

@3. Yes, I carry around my NRA card all the time as proof of citizenship, since the election board doesn’t take my birth certificate.
If the “Proof of Citizenship” documents accepted were not so restrictive to the point where only republicans have the right to vote when implemented by republicans, I’m OK with showing ID.

Billionaire leaves Gov. Rick Scott’s re-election campaign after racist incident
But would this rich Cuban have left if the insults had been aimed at the BLACK FOLKS? Probably not…
