    As the Iran war pushes U.S. gas prices toward $4.60 a gallon, straining consumer budgets, Walmart shoppers are putting less fuel in the tank when they pull up to the pump.

    Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey said that the average number of gallons shoppers put in their vehicles in the most recent quarter fell below 10 for the first time since 2022, when Russia’s invasion of Ukraine drove up energy costs.

    “That’s an indication of stress,” he said.

    He also suggested more stress could be ahead, particularly for shoppers in Walmart’s large grocery business.

    He claims he notified the Chief Judge Staci Yandel, but not the trial judge. Yandel has had nothing to say about it so far, while Judge Perry proceeds with her own hearings to investigate the misconduct. So either USA Boutros lied yesterday about informing the Chief Judge or the Chief Judge has some explaining to do.
    Likewise so do a great many other supervising attorneys in that office, now that Judge Perry is seeking disco for all their emails and roster of every barred attorney in the office who had saw the original, unredacted grand jury transcript.

  14. @13 Law school training, the bar exam, the Rules of Professional Conduct, continuing legal education on same, all make it very very very clear that attorneys have ethical obligations beyond, and superseding, any office policies that may bear on their conduct in cases.

    Any lawyers caught manipulating juries and/or lying to courts on behalf of Todd Blanche or Trump need to have their asses handed to them; although, sadly, the Florida Bar doesn’t appear prepared to participate in the enforcement of the ethical duties of lawyers licensed in their jurisdiction.

    It’s the kind of thing a lawyer like Todd Blanche puts into an agreement to win favor from his client, in this case Fat Hitler.

    But it’s illegal, unconstitutional, and worthless. Todd Blanche, in a private, negotiated agreement without any judicial oversight or statutory authority can’t place restrictions on future laws and future administrations. It’s kind of a joke, really. Because Blanche is actually smart enough to know all this. And it tells us that he knows Fat Hitler and his cult of MAGA chuds are not.
