Let’s talk (political) turkey. Stop by the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally this evening, join the conversation, and enjoy your beverage of choice.
We meet tonight and every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. You’ll find us in the back room starting about 8:00pm.
Chapters of Living Liberally are all over the place…if you can’t make it to the Seattle chapter, stop by another chapter near you.

The first ten of this class were going to be based in Everett. Looks like only Constellation and Congress will be built, with Chesapeake, LaFayette, Galvez, Hamilton, Alvarez, and Hancock cancelled.

Was supposed to be an off the shelf design, but what it has evolved to is very different than the original Italian design.

Wow. That so-called “Vicious Troll” really is incredibly cowardly and weak.

As a lawyer, I enjoy the servile incompetents trying to carry out Trump’s wishes getting their asses handed to them in the courts, sometimes accompanied by a dressing down from the judge, and I look forward to some of them being disbarred for doing the devil’s work contrary to their professional and ethical obligations.
However, while lower courts seem to be doing their job, I admit to being a little nervous that SCOTUS might replace the rule of law with “what Trump says goes,” in which case legal education will be useless, professional codes of responsibility toothless (as it already appears to be in Florida), and the legal system would become arbitrary and unpredictable.
In their initial response to a wrongful Death suit, Chat GPT lawyers argue that discussing suicide violates Chat GPT Terms of Use so the confirmation regurgitation engine can’t be held liable for encouraging a teenager to kill himself and responding to the final message from the user with, “You did a good job.”
There is not a hole dark enough to throw these fuckers in.

We did suicide missions in the Army that had better odds.
So Kegsbreath is going to blow up the INCREDIBLY successful recruitment tool that is the relationship with scouting because the Boy Scouts got sued into letting girls in and realized gay scout leaders are LESS likely to rape boys than clergy.
What is wrong with this guy? Did Sally laugh at you for being lame a tetherball and you never got over it? Did Amber punch you in front of the lunch room in sixth grade?
What is your problem?
Despite Trump’s best efforts to reshore manufacturing, blue-collar employment is plunging for the first time since the pandemic with 59,000 lost jobs
A lot of people have voted for a six-time bankrupt businessman to handle the world’s largest economy.
This is a self-inflicted recession because too many voters are driven by racism and their greatest fear of “lose of privilege”.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is planning for the military to sever all ties with Scouting America, saying the group once known as the Boy Scouts is no longer a meritocracy and has become an organization designed to “attack boy-friendly spaces,” according to documents reviewed by NPR. Hegseth criticizes Scouting for being “genderless” and for promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
>> Their mission is “to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.” I can see why that’s inconsistent with Hesgeth’s objectives.
>> Hesgeth is WEIRD. Someone check his browser history and his basement.
‘It’s terrifying.’ Wyoming leads country with highest jump in ACA costs
In Wyoming, a 60-year-old person earning roughly $63,000 is facing a 421% increase in average monthly premium costs on the ACA marketplace, according to reporting by KFF, a nonprofit that writes about health care.
71% of Wyoming voted for Trump. They’re getting what they asked for. They voted to “hurt others”, and turns out, they are also “others”. The biggest question, will they KEEP voting republican as they go bankrupt and die? Probably. Maybe their kids will be willing to break the cycle.

It’s what they voted for. Will they KEEP voting republican as they go bankrupt and die? Probably. Hopefully their kids will be willing to break the cycle.
8)At least Cancelling the Constellation class Frigate can’t be considered vindictive. The Navy took an off the shelf design from an Allied nation, as the FFGX program required, and then proceeded to squeeze more than what the hull was designed for. Now construction will be halted with just Constellation and Congress. Although I would rather the latter be named Cumberland. Turned out USS Cumberland did more damage than the Monitor did two CSS Virginia. Knocked out two guns and broke the ram.
I really like Pete Hegseth. I think we both have a lot in common. For example we both are driven by envy and insecurity.
@14. Dissociative Identity Disorder Troll is not wrong.
