The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E.

I don’t think I’ll be able to make it tonight, but I may try to run in for a quick visit.

Instead of coaxing another trip out of that old VW bus, or if you’re more upscale, driving the Volvo… how ’bout instead you take that great public transit that you’re trying to shove down our throats. How ’bout all of you ride Metro tonight to DL? Let us know how it goes.

    Also, if you do choose to violate mommy earth, please count the number of “War Is Terror” bumper stickers and report back.

In any case, Roger Rabbit never announces his public appearances in advance due to the traffic and security problems caused by large crowds of papparazzi and admiring fans who follows us everywhere we go. Just curious, that’s all.

For the benefit of those of us who may be walking to DL, why don’t drive up and down Montlake in your studly HUMMER, flash the wad you keep in your pocket to show what a big man you are to the lowly peds and pollute the air we all breathe. You can also broadcast insults through the bullhorn on the top of the cab. Profound stuff like “suck my fumes Moonbats!” or “SP rules!”

    If you got it, flaunt it. We’ll be laughing.

    Your concern for RR is admirable. You a vet? Been in the shit? If so, thank you for your service to our country (God it was hard for me to say that – to you that is).

    Now how is it possible that RR has the opinions he has?

    I was hospitalized in June for a near-fatal infection with pneumonia, and have spent the summer convalescing at home.

  10. Roger, I take it your doctor advises against going to DL. Too bad. A cold one on me is still waiting for you.

    Don’t take a chance. Life is too short and retirement should be the sweetest of years. Stay home and take good care. We’ll see you next June at the other end of the next dark season.
