The New York Times Company’s February revenue is down 3.6% from a year ago. Yeah, all fine and dandy, but just how much was it down last year and the year before that? This is a newspaper company in trouble.

I recall a young Yeoman striker that had roughly the same typing and language skills as YO. Perhaps that’s where he gets his name.
After a very short tenure in the admin office, it was decided that our young friend was not well suited for the complexities of routine typing and filing. (He had a really hard time with the filing. This is especially odd, as the Navy doesn’t use that complicated “alphabet” system for most files, but simply has a numeric code, and you just have to match the numbers.)
In any case, we found our intrepid young Seaman Recruit a more suitable position, removing paint from bulkheads. (He couldn’t handle polishing brass, either.)
I’ve often wondered what happened to that young man.

I wonder if he writes in his book how to set up and loose organization. Marry large corporations to legislators through supporting their campaigns in a hundred different ways. When these Republicons take control of our government, they pass legislation like Plan B, Bankruptcy Bill, Tort Reform, and a bunch of other legislation that hurts most Americans, and only helps huuuuuge companies, that kick in to the GOP slush pot.
What Tom DeLay represents is 180 Degrees the opposite of what good government is. This man is a bigger sleazebag than Bush, and that is a very short list.
