I spent Thanksgiving Day at my brother’s house in a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut. The town is more blue collar than white collar and in a fairly densely populated neighborhood. My nephew and I were playing basketball in the backyard. It was after sundown, so it was dark out, but only about 7:00pm. While playing we heard gunfire, fairly close in proximity. I felt uneasy, that someone would be just firing off a gun in such a densely populated neighborhood.

(Bloomberg) — The U.S. solidified its status as an energy producer by posting the first full month as a net exporter of crude and petroleum products since government records began in 1949.
The nation exported 89,000 barrels a day more than it imported in September, according to data from the Energy Information Administration Friday. While the U.S. has previously reported net exports on a weekly basis, today’s figures mark a key milestone that few would have predicted just a decade ago, before the onset of the shale boom.
President Donald Trump has touted American energy independence, saying that the nation is moving away from relying on foreign oil.

We’ve all heard of the expression “Monday morning quarterback”. Well Bob, isn’t even a Tuesday morning quarterback. He’d be lucky if he could even get anything right on Wednesday.
Aside from get anything right, he certainly isn’t going to commit to anything. He certainly isn’t committed to the Sanctity of Marriage, whatever the Sanctity of Marriage is, as the horse knows.
For instance – if you were to ask Bob a question, such as if he thinks The Hump would try to run for a third term, by whatever means, he’s not going to answer that question. For one, he doesn’t want to be wrong and for two he won’t make a commitment that later on he will have to be held accountable for. It’s what Trolls do. For him to say yes he thinks it will happen he then would have to justify why he would sit back and let it happen and not up-rise against it. He doesn’t want to have to debate it and make any commitments one way or the other, especially not have to address if it ever were to happen. He wants to wait until it happens, and then blame everyone but himself – you know because he’s so smart.
Two reasons for this –
1.) He doesn’t want to be wrong. Wrong with anything factual or anything to be factual in the future, because he certainly doesn’t mind being wrong about anything that can’t be proven to be factual, such as the many claims he makes here about people’s personal beings and goings on. Aside from the conspiracy theories – such as Hillary running a third term (boy do I hope I am right that she doesn’t)
2.) He wants to leave his options open, for those factual things that will happen in the future. He wants to be able to then make up reasons of why those things happened as if he would have never thought that they could have happened and himself have to be accountable for that answer. He needs options for all his excuses to place blame elsewhere at that later time.
It’s what Trolls do and what happens to people whose brains are void or worse filled with shit.

Red, you stupid fuck. I swear, you’re getting dumber by the day.
Reality is that there are millions receiving benefits who do not need them. Alabama is a great example.
Here’s Alabama since 2016, Red:
Alabama’s food stamp rolls fell by more than 38,000 recipients in the last year and by more than 100,000 since 2016, according to figures from the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
Figures from February 2019, the most recent available, showed 730,172 Alabamians received benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps. Figures for the same month in 2018 show 768,516 recipients; 2017 had 809,763; and 2016 had 864,645.
https://www.al.com/news/2019/04/food-stamps-in-alabama-38000-off-snap-rolls-in-last-year-7-counties-see-10-plus-drop.html
That’s a hundred thousand purportedly starving Alabamans, and yet all we hear about is the Crimson Tide’s comparatively weak football schedule this year (which is true, BTW).
What happens when the food stamps are cut off to people who don’t need them, Red? That’s right, they realize the jig’s up and that fourth flat-screen TV might have to wait.
Red, you stupid fuck, by parroting what the left wing is telling you about the SNAP requirements being tightened, what you don’t share is that several states will actually see their numbers of SNAP recipients actually increase.
She said for administrative purposes, the utility change may make things easier but it reduces some of the autonomy states have had in implementing the SNAP program.
The Urban Institute analysis found the utility rule change would have reduced SNAP participation and benefits in Iowa and Nebraska while Illinois and Missouri would have seen increases.
https://www.hppr.org/post/some-states-would-gain-others-lose-under-proposed-changes-snap
And that’s just in the high plains states.
Pull your head out of your ass, Red, and do a bit of reading before parroting. Every day you are less objective and more like one of the herd. HA already has a YLB and a Fucking Moron. You’ve become a blend of the two of them.

The Democratic National Committee is refusing to accept a poll that shows Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) at six percent, according to the Democratic presidential contender.
The committee, known as the DNC, has recognized Suffolk University as one of the accepted pollsters for debate qualifying purposes when it carried out a poll for USA Today but the committee declined to accept a Suffolk poll conducted for the Boston Globe, Gabbard’s campaign said.
…
“The Boston Globe is the largest newspaper in New Hampshire. If these numbers hold up through continuing investigations and impeachment proceedings, and translate into votes in the 2020 election, it’s hard to see how Trump gets re-elected, even with the red states’ built-in Electoral College advantage.
But anyone who thinks the Far Right — which today is synonymous with the GOP and vice-versa — will accept an election defeat as legitimate is horribly naïve.
It’s important to understand that Trump’s supporters see him as a religious figure, ordained by God to rule over us all, similar to the ancient “divine right of kings.” They will not be deterred or deprived.
To them, democracy is anathema, and allowing us to choose a different leader is anathema. They want nothing less than to impose a permanent and unremovable rightwing dictatorship on our country. When Trump declares his hostility to free speech and free press, and utters threats against his critics and opponents, they eat it up.
We must have no illusions about how dangerous these deluded people are. This is a Hitler movement, and the GOP is transforming before our eyes into a Nazi party. It took the support of only a third of the German people to bring that country under the heel of history’s most evil dictatorship.
It is wrong to think that Trump is the most dangerous president America has ever had, although he is, or that he is to blame for the grave danger his presidency poses. This — every bit of it — is the fault of his supporters. Like Hitler’s supporters, they will bear the responsibility for everything that flows from their support of a dangerous and evil demagogue.
Here on HA, there is no bigger admirer, supporter, and shill for Trump than Doctor Dumbfuck. This goes way beyond the doc being a world-class dumbfuck, although he is such. He’s a horse fucker who shills for Nazi wannabes. That, in itself, is a high crime and misdemeanor. There should be an impeachment investigation of his citizenship.

How can Gabbard win? What is her path to victory over Trump? Which Trump states does Gabbard flip and why?
Decent questions, which should be put to every supporter of every Democrat candidate. Not just to me
• She’s a woman. Last I heard women are ready for a woman president. YLB certainly is.
• She’s a woman of color. Trump/Pence are white. She could pick, say, Warren as her running mate, just as Obama picked Biden as his so that the ticket would appear more experienced. Then there would be two women on the ticket. See my first point.
• She would have the DNC’s money and she would have Obama’s OFA support. Obama’s Hawaiian by birth, so is Tulsi.
• She would be attractive to military members and veterans. Going forward there won’t be very many presidents who have served in the military.
• She has a chance at flipping union states won by Trump. The AFL-CIO gave her a lifetime 96% score. The average House Democrat receives a 94% score.
• She is outside the establishment. Trump found success by working outside the establishment.
• She does pretty well in debates.
https://aflcio.org/scorecard/legislators/tulsi-gabbard
• The “Russian asset” thing will go away. It requires Hillary to go away, which might be a problem. But people like Goldy know when to line up behind the party. If Goldy can do it for a POS like Hillary @ 66 he can do it for someone who fights the establishment like Goldy has done.
The biggest question is, can she get the DNC’s money? Can she get the DNC’s support? Or will the DNC commit suicide again by circling the wagons around a preferred candidate who will lose to Trump in the general?
Gabbard called out the DNC for its duplicitous behavior in 2016. She was right. She hasn’t stopped doing it. She’s still right.

@85,
• She’s a woman.
Suggesting that all women vote alike? Women as a voting bloc? White women voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016. Pssssst: Hillary Clinton was a woman and she lost. Gabbard loses according to your reasoning.
• She’s a woman of color.
Suggesting that ethnic Hindus break to candidates resembling them? No evidence of that in US elections beyond local city councils. Maybe try Surrey BC? Or suggesting that all non-whites will vote for a non-white candidate? Or suggesting that these numbers even matter beyond African American voters? Nothing about her tan helps her either persuade white Trump voters or turnout non-participating African American voters in any large numbers. Again, Gabbard loses according to your reasoning.
• • She would have the DNC’s money and she would have Obama’s OFA support.
Making her in that sense equal to all the other candidates. Oh yes. And also equal to Hillary Clinton. Who lost. Again, your nominee loses, according to you.
• She would be attractive to military members and veterans.
As a woman? Or as anyone other than Trump aka Corporal Bone Spurs? Facing John McCain this might be a point. Facing Trump, especially in light of current and ongoing events, she’s no better off than any of the others. And barely better than Clinton. Who lost.
• She has a chance at flipping union states won by Trump.
They endorsed Clinton in 2016. She lost Michigan. Trumka campaigned tirelessly for her, pissing off a substantial number of Bernie supporters. No evidence that AFL-CIO ratings had any effect on voting in 2016 general. None. Zero. Which is why Clinton lost. Again, by your reasoning Gabbard loses again.
You haven’t take this seriously at all. That was glib bullshit you pulled out of thin air. There may yet be real reasons you support Tulsi Gabbard. But you aren’t telling them to us here. Let’s be honest. When you weren’t being dumb, you were listing strengths shared by virtually any of the potential nominees and more importantly strengths shared by Clinton herself. Suggesting that Democrats should run another Hillary Clinton makes it sound like you want Gabbard to lose.
In other words, troll.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@92 If you dig into the “deep state” I think you’ll find those who authorized torture and wrote legal memorandum justifying it were political appointees of a previous GOP administration.
There really isn’t a GOP administration I can think of that wasn’t lawless. You have to go back to Eisenhower to find a GOP president who didn’t behave lawlessly. Even Reagan committed impeachable offenses, but he was too popular to impeach. Clinton didn’t have that advantage; and Trump, who is far less popular than Clinton, doesn’t either.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@85 “Obama’s Hawaiian by birth, so is Tulsi.”
Wrong. She was not born in Hawaii, nor does she have any native Hawaiian blood. Her ancestry is mixed Samoan-European, and she’s a transplant from Samoa.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@90 “You’re comparing a mayor of a small city to a woman who won a governorship.”
Small compared to Chicago, perhaps, but the South Bend metro area has as much population as Alaska does. Just fewer electoral votes, thanks to a system that was created over 200 years ago to preserve southern slavery.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@94 “White women voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016.”
Only if you believe Trump’s braggadocio, and you seem like that gullible type, so it’s understandable you would post nonsense like that.
In reality, Trump and Clinton split the white female vote almost evenly, about 47% to 45%.
https://time.com/5422644/trump-white-women-2016/
And that was before his support among women voters began evaporating. Good luck with that demographic in 2020.
I’m not saying no women will vote for Trump next year (if he makes it that far). Somebody in addition to white male Republicans has to occupy the bottom quintile of the IQ bell curve.
@godwinha spews:
@ 94
You need to
1) preserve the states won by Hillary in 2016.
2) pick up a couple of important ones where Trump’s margin was small.
Pointing out an “overwhelming majority” of white women who voted for Trump when the exit poll percentage is generally considered to be 53% of them is an inaccuracy.
You need to pick up some of those 53%. In PA, WI, MI, preferably.
You need to bring back the black voters who participated when Obama was on the ticket but didn’t when he wasn’t. Not all of them, but some of them. A Warren/Mayor Pete ticket won’t do that for you.
You demanded a response. I provided one. Fuck you if you don’t like what I wrote.
You want to pull some voters to the Democrat side who didn’t support Hillary in 2016? Klobuchar or Gabbard might do it for me. The others, not so much.
Any Democrat Who Wants to Win in 2020 spews:
@99,
53% is overwhelming. It’s a six point spread.
In Michigan Trump’s overall percentage was not really different than his two most recent predecessors. But they lost. Trump won 47.5 to 47.3. So what made the difference for Trump in 2016? Non-white voter turnout was 4% lower in Michigan compared to the rest of the US. And turnout of non-college white men was 4% higher than the US. And there’s a lot more non-college white men than there are non-whites. Trump fired up non-college white men in Michigan while Clinton failed to turnout non-whites. Combining those two things and losing white women by six points makes it impossible for her to survive. Arguing to us that Gabbard can do a little better than Clinton because “reasons” is obvious trolling. You may be a stupid troll. But your stupid reasons are not going to convince people like us.
You are right,, and surprisingly not stupid, that whoever the Democratic nominee is the nominee must bring back to the polls some or most of the African American voters who stayed home in 2016. That’s especially true considering that non-college white men appear ready to turnout in greater number. But you still haven’t bothered to say what it is about Tulsi Gabbard that would produce that response among African American voters in number approaching Barack Obama.
There is ample evidence that President Trump himself is doing a lot to produce increased turnout among African American voters in Michigan. But there is also the very same evidence as there was before that foreign nationals are fronting lavish spending to suppress that turnout in that state. For a candidate to be able to cut through that propaganda noise and social media smear campaigning requires the usual charm and charisma, but also a cast iron calm and grounded ego to avoid becoming defensive. Gabbard has already demonstrated very early on that she does not respond to personal smear attacks by rising above the fray. It’s hard to imagine that the African American voters who thronged to Obama’s casual cool “no drama” would respond likewise to Gabbard’s truculence, name calling, and trench fighting. If she can’t keep her cool during the primary fight, how well would she hold up when she has to face a global army of social media bot farms going after her for her unconventional religion, personal relationships, financial relationships, and past associations?
Again the point here is not to pick on Gabbard. You’re the one “claiming” to support her for the nomination. Although it’s hard to miss that you refer to the Democrats as “you”. So I presume you’d like to see her win the nomination. But not enough to cast a ballot for her in a primary? More trollishness for sure. And for all that, you still aren’t willing to get behind “HER”. That is really explain how SHE would overcome the challenges and obstacles facing any of the Democratic nominees. Arguing that her gender closes the deal is dumb. Clearly, rationally, mathematically gender does not work for Democrats. Not the way it works for Republicans. Not in a national campaign that runs through the Electoral College. She might make a fine Republican nominee. And if she were to win I’d give her a good chance in November too. But she’s running as a Democrat. And for her, that means increasing turnout among non-whites, and winning over white women in a way that Hillary Clinton could not four years ago.
Still troll.
