  1. This passage means nothing to those who would never be humiliated. Pride goeth before a fall, as has been said. But it seems the people who seem to express the most pride in their personal belief systems, and have acquired a certain level of social influence also seem to be the folks who would never tolerate having that belief system challenged or that influenced threatened. They would murder the whole world rather than admit they are wrong about something. Dick Cheney and Henry Kissinger are proof of that.
