The days of me working from home and forgetting to put one of these up are almost back but not quite!
So, please wash your hands right now. And if you aren’t vaccinated, please get vaccinated. If you aren’t boosted, please get boosted.

Good morning. I know many people are done with masking. But, I am still wearing one. On public transportation, where it’s required, but also inside in public. I have said many times that since I don’t wear glasses, or have stink breath, that there’s no reason not to wear one. Anyway I found a third!
Over the weekend, I went to the conservatory in Volunteer Park. It was nice, masks were required, and there was only one route through it. I wore an N95, but I could have used a lower quality one. Anyway, several of the plants were flowering. I had the urge to give them a sniff, but of course, couldn’t in a mask.
I am glad that I wore the mask, because who wants to infect people with, or get COVID-19? But, it did diminish the experience. Of course if you care about smelling flowers, getting COVID-19 is probably a bad idea.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.

Good morning one and all. How was the legislative session? The headline on this article makes it seem bad, but the article itself points to more of a mixed bag. We should elect Democrats and push them to do as much as possible.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And for goodness sake get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.

It’s good that the City of Seattle is returning ownership of objects found in 2013 to the Upper Skagit Tribe. It’s a bit strange that the City Council needs to be involved. It seems like it should be automatic. But if that isn’t the process, I am glad they didn’t get in the way.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. Right now. And get vaccinated, for goodness sake, if you’re not already. And boosted if you’re eligible and haven’t been yet.

Washington doesn’t have a mask mandate anymore. I see a lot of people on Twitter saying that Seattle people are still mostly masked up. I didn’t feel that, but Pike Place Market is my grocery store, and it’s tough to tell who is local, and who is a tourist. Other than that, I didn’t get out much during the weekend. I wish I saw more masks,in general, though.
I am wearing a mask as I write this, but it’s still required on public transportation. I will still wear it at work, but I don’t know how universal that will be.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.

I think the budget and transportation packages passed at the end of the legislative session are pretty great. I would prefer no money for new highways, but overall, it feels like non-driving portions of the transit package are more than just an afterthought. And they didn’t fall into the trap of giving tax cuts when there’s a surplus.
Also, congrats to legislative staff on your right to organize!
And please wash your hands right now. And book an appointment today to get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.

I think it was coming, but it’s nice to see Seattle extend outdoor seating (first item), with the intent to make it permanent. It is nice, especially as we’re lifting COVID-19 restrictions. I have family who won’t eat inside when there *are* vaccine requirements. So it’s nice that the option is there.
Anyway, please wash your hands right away. And get vaccinated or boosted.

Governor Inslee signed a bill into law on Friday to cap insulin at $35 a month in insurance plans. I was heartened to see that it was bipartisan. People want these sort of laws. They are obviously morally correct.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible for it.

Good morning to everyone except Mike Kreidler. Come on, dude. Come on.
I am generally against people stepping down in the middle of their term. And I think that’s a good starting place as more information comes to light. But damn, treat your employees better.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted.

Good morning to the Washington State Senate. I am glad that they passed 2 important gun regulations. Untraceable ghost guns shouldn’t be out there, and there shouldn’t be guns at government meetings. So there is more work matching up the House and Senate versions of the local meetings bill. The ghost guns bill will be sent to Governor Inslee to be signed. Exciting.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. If you’re not vaccinated, get vaccinated, and if you’re eligible, get boosted.
