Nugent Guilty Plea To Illegal Hunting

Many NRA types and other rightwingers are hunters who take pride in their sportsmanship. This should give them something to think about:

“Rocker and avid hunter Ted Nugent has agreed to pay a fine, serve probation and record a public service announcement as part of a deal to plead guilty to transporting an illegally killed black bear in Alaska, according to court documents.”

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/21/.....?hpt=hp_t3

Roger Rabbit Commentary: Too bad they didn’t nail him for a felony — then he couldn’t possess guns and the President would safer.

    Puddybud spews:

Wow, all the Ted Nugent commentary while more and more people file for unemployment each week, unleaded regular gas is approaching $4.25, and business production is declining.

When your record sucks, find alternative conversations.

Meanwhile another entry missed by the Friday Night Funnies Purveyor. Unlike the crazed databaze pinhead I provide the whole paragraph from Wikipedia!

The FT advocates free markets and is in favour of globalisation. During the 1980s it supported Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan’s monetarist policies. It has aligned itself with Labour in the UK. It was also supportive of Gordon Brown, the former British Prime Minister. FT editorials tend to be pro-European Union. In the 2008 United States presidential election, the Financial Times endorsed Barack Obama.[26] [boom shakalaka – Puddy Emphasis] In the 2010 UK General Election the paper criticised the Conservative Party, but stated that on balance it would support them.

Some leftist dweeb asked about my stance on Treyvon. I will wait for our justice system before I pass judgment. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and all those Black Congressional Caucus people now look like fools as the Zimmerman pictures appear on the blogs and newswires.

And what is this crap about white hispanics? Another racial reporting method. Does the census measure the number of “white” hispanics vs. “black” hispanics? Hey ylb are you a “white” hispanic? Damn, I guess some of my relatives must be “black” hispanics, but they have wavy “straight” hair.

BTW nothing said by any HA leftist about my post on a black woman in Texas who killed the white mother and took her child. Another entry missed by the Friday Night Funnies Purveyor!

    Crickets still chirping!

    Don Joe spews:

“When your record sucks, find alternative conversations.”

Let me know when Republicans think of doing something other than the same things that created this mess in the first place. Then we might have some meaningful conversations. Until then, Republicans talking about what’s not working is as much a distraction as Ted Nugent is.

The Ted Nugent distraction is way more entertaining than the GOP pretending they know how to fix things.

  6. 10

    Puddybud spews:

    George Zimmerman, white hispanic.

The Prosecution Rests your honor! ylb never writes anything useful! If Zimmerman is a hispanic, isn’t that racial profiling? Well not to ylb. He’s a certifiable idiot!

  7. 12

    Puddybud spews:

So why didn’t ylb know 18 million hispanics checked on their 2010 Census forms the category “some other race”?

Oh I know I know. Yes Puddy.

    He’s an idiot.

    You are CORRECT!

  8. 13

    Don Joe spews:

“Debbie Wasserman Schultz: ‘We own the economy’”

Yup. ‘Cause when Republicans start owning it, the economy goes completely into the crapper.

All that arguing above by Lib the moron and he still hasn’t dis-proven the crime, abortions, teen pregnancies are all in the lib cities of those conservative states.

I’m still waiting for puddliar to point out which are the ‘lib cities’ in Oklahoma, Wyoming, Mississippi, Arkansas, South Carolina – where he claims that the abysmal rates of teen pregnancy, divorce and domestic violence in those states derive from.

And further, if it’s the ‘lib cities’ in those deep deep red states that account for the mayhem, destroyed families, poverty, violence and ignorance, why aren’t states like Massachusetts and New York and Illinois and Minnesota leading those lists?

He is of course full of shit. What a sad, pathetic shell of man.

    Nugent Booted From Army Concert

“Citing inflammatory language while expressing his displeasure with President Barack Obama, the military has uninvited rock star and conservative political activist Ted Nugent from performing at Fort Knox in Kentucky, according to the U.S. Army post’s Facebook page.

“‘After learning of opening act Ted Nugent’s recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation,’ it’s Facebook posting says.”

    http://entertainment.msnbc.msn.....ments?lite

Roger Rabbit Commentary: Heh. Inviting people to kill the CEO will get you “disinvited” from any corporate campus I can think of! And let’s not forget Nugent is also a convicted game law violater. He’s a bad example for impressionable young soldiers.

    Michael spews:

Some leftist dweeb asked about my stance on Treyvon. I will wait for our justice system before I pass judgment.

Had there not been the public uproar about it, it would have never made it into the justice system. Now that it has, I think we should shut up and wait and see what becomes of it.

  12. 22

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 21

Well, the cops don’t seem to botch an investigation when a black woman kills a white woman. They only seem to do that when a white guy kills a black guy.

And, of course, the brainless idiots who regurgitate right-wing talking points never notice that the botched investigation is the issue, not the fact that somebody killed someone else.

So, I’ll repeat, tell me, what are the names of those ‘lib cities’ in Wyoming and Oklahoma and South Carolina where those RED-STATE democrats are generating outrageous rates of teen pregnancy and divorce and spousal abuse. How does that math work?

    Why Not Cut Defense?

Thomas Donlon, a conservative editorialist for the conservative pro-GOP, pro-Romney, pro-business, financial magazine Barrons, wrote this on p. 47 of the April 23, 2012 issue:

“A lack of realistic planning has been the real problem with the American defense establishment for decades. Congress, the Pentagon, and the defense industry have combined to create more defense than there is threat. The U.S. military establishment is bigger, stronger, and more expensive than the next 10 others on the planet, eight of which are American allies. Rather than focusing on the military cuts contemplated … Americans should focus on the astounding military might that will remain, and ask how much of it the U.S. really needs.”

Roger Rabbit Commentary; Until Republicans are willing to cut the fat from defense spending they’ll have no credibility about deficits.

  22. 37

    spews:

The cretin puddybud is always blathering about “class warfare”..

It’s never “class warfare” when financial sharks sweet talk desperate or gullible people into mortgages that’ll reset to outrageous rates after a few months.

It’s never “class warfare” when banksters robo-sign foreclosures – even on people who have caught up on their payments or even OWN the damn property outright.

It’s never “class warfare” when tax and trade policies enable corporations to offshore jobs to the lands of the cheapest labor and non-existent environment, health and safety regulations.

It’s never “class warfare” when the Mitt Romneys of the world are allowed to slice and dice companies enriching themselves while throwing people out of work and robbing them of their pensions.

It’s never “class warfare” when greedheads do all of the above and brainwash their cretinous sycophants that it’s the fault of teachers and other public workers laying them off and cutting their pay and benefits in the process.

The cretin Puddybud and his fellow travelers LOVE THAT SHIT!

Amazing how wingers forget anything that happened before January of 2009.

And I’m still waiting for Puddy to tell me what new policy ideas the Republicans have come up with in the last 30 years. ‘Course, Puddy can’t deliver on that one, so he quotes Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (whose name Puddy can’t even spell correctly).

  24. 39

    spews:

It’s never “class warfare” to change medicare to “coupon care” for future retirees while sparing current retirees in an attempt to divide parents from their own kids.

It’s never “class warfare” to raise the retirement age for social security to 67.5 or higher.

It’s never “class warfare” when Eric Cantor says “we have to have that discussion” – making the working poor pay federal income tax on top of their payroll, medicare and state and local taxes.

It’s only class warfare when all the chatter about “deficits” and “debts” go on and on and someone has the gall to suggest higher tax rates on the folks that have benefited the most from the policies of the last 30+ years. Hey the middle class and the poor are tapped out.

  25. 40

    spews:

At some point demand destruction will kick in and prices will go down.

Nope.. Don’t think so. The whole WORLD wants in on the american lifestyle (China, India, Brazil, South Africa, etc) and you need to burn oil to do that. All the easy oil has been got.

Until you have a substitute for oil of proper energy density and acceptable unit cost that reality won’t change.

Last time the oil price shot too high, the economy tanked and the price went down yes, but the next time won’t repeat the same way. It rarely does.

Wal-Mart Caught In Bribery Scandal And Cover Up

“In September 2005, a senior Wal-Mart lawyer received an alarming e-mail from a former executive at the company’s largest foreign subsidiary, Wal-Mart de Mexico. … In its rush to build stores, he said, the company had paid bribes to obtain permits in virtually every corner of the country. The former executive gave names, dates and bribe amounts. …

“Wal-Mart dispatched investigators to Mexico City, and within days they unearthed evidence of widespread bribery. … They also found documents showing that Wal-Mart de Mexico’s top executives not only knew about the payments, but had taken steps to conceal them from Wal-Mart’s headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. … The lead investigator recommended that Wal-Mart expand the investigation.

“Instead, … Wal-Mart’s leaders shut it down. Neither American nor Mexican law enforcement officials were notified. None of Wal-Mart de Mexico’s leaders were disciplined. Indeed, its chief executive, Eduardo Castro-Wright, identified by the former executive as the driving force behind years of bribery, was promoted to vice chairman of Wal-Mart in 2008.”

  32. 54

    Deathfrogg spews:

    @ 53 RR

Thats just it. The conservatives want to eliminate Government regulations and laws governing how businesses are allowed to function for the same reasons that the Cocaine Cartels want to eliminate the DEA and the Mafia wants to get rid of the FBI.

Criminal enterprise is normal to those people. They want to be able to bribe who they want to. They want to be able to steal peoples land and drill for oil on it without having to pay them. The only purpose they see for the United States is to make politically connected people rich. Everything else is just communism.

They’ve already pretty much succeeded in legalizing murder in several states. They’ve already looted the Treasury to the point where the money can never be replaced. They blame the homeless and the poor for the economy, while pointedly ignoring the individuals who were taking out $100 million bonuses for themselves from the Banks they were running.

They blame the poor for the problems they create by giving them too much money, and then claim that we aren’t giving the super-rich enough.

  33. 59

52 – Fracking in general will run up pretty hard, fairly quickly against pollution, water supply and seismic limits.. I believe there’s only so much of that people will stand for.

    Chuck Colson Dies

Another Watergate figure bites the dust. It’s been 40 years since Watergate gripped the nation, so it’s easy to forget just how frightening Nixon and his gang of criminals were — the closest our country ever came to having a dictator with his own KGB. Colson, a hardball political operative and creator of Nixon’s “enemies list,” was the Karl Rove of his time.

    ALEC Makes Headlines

NY Times and MSNBC are finally shining a bright light on this basket of cockroaches.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47.....ork_times/

Roger Rabbit Commentary: How would you feel if you knew that your state legislator or congressman was being told how to vote? You know what that means, don’t you? It means the person asking for you vote has no intention of representing you. Would you vote for such a person? I sure as hell wouldn’t.

  38. 66

    Roger Rabbit spews:

Common Cause, a citizen-interest group, is going after ALEC’s tax exempt status. CC has filed a formal complaint with the IRS and is gathering evidence.

“‘We know its mission is to bring together corporations and state legislators to draft profit-driven, anti-public-interest legislation, and then help those elected officials pass the bills in statehouses from coast to coast,’ said the president of Common Cause, Bob Edgar. ‘If that’s not lobbying, what is?'”

    (Link in comment above)

  39. 67

    Puddybud spews:

Sure is amazing how lib groups want to shutdown anything conservative. Maybe ALEC should go after Media Matters!

Everyone know the “mission” of Media Matters.

  40. 68

    Puddybud spews:

Amazing how wingers forget anything that happened before January of 2009.

Ummm Don Joe… You seem to forget how y’all complained when we used William Jefferson Female Flavored Cigar Clinton’s antics.

Obummer came in said I need a porkulus bill. His sycophant leaders Reid and Pelosi in Congress said sure. Then Obummer asked for a follow-up bill. He got it. Then his academic economic team saw their plans not work and they bailed. He then rammed down the throats of Americans ObummerCare. His promise was it would save money. Now we see it will cost much more because they double accounted the Medicare $$$. America saw these legislative failures and the House went Republican. Biggest turnover ever.

Now we see ObummerCare really screwing us over. Obummer’s bandits said it was smoke and mirror accounting. Then another study comes out making ObummerCare even worse because we now see the real costs because we are approaching 2014.

Our bond rating dropped from AAA! First time ever!

So you see Don Joe, it has nothing to do with 2007- January 2009, because Pelosi and Reid had the purse strings and that’s when the economy nosed-dived. We are living through the new $5 Trillion+ debt Obummer has added to every child and grandchild.

So you keep cheering Obummer when you see the additional debt mounting. Remember Obummer’s plan was to cut the debt as he claimed

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents — #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.” – Barack Obama, July 3, 2008

Facts are Facts and Don Joe don’t like dem facts!

  41. 69

Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

    Oh, puddles, please….

That’s your definition of a “lib city”?

Let me remind you of your original, ahem, “thesis”:

    Conservatives encourage
    stable, healthy relationships
    strong families
    secure communities
    respecting women

    Liberals encourage
wanton immediate eradication of unborn humans
    reckless promiscuity
    broken relationships
    community devastation

And I countered with facts, like:

    DIVORCE RATES
    TOP
    Nevada 5.9
    Arkansas 5.7
    Oklahoma 5.2
    Idaho 5.2
    W. Virginia 5.1
    Wyoming 5.1

    BOTTTOM
    Iowa 2.4
    Massachusetts 2.5
    Illinois 2.6
    Pennsylvania 2.7
    D.C. 2.8
    Maryland 2.8
    New York 2.9
    Connecticut 2.9

Or rates of early (15-17) teen pregnancy:

    TOP
    D.C. 38.2
    New Mexico 36.1
    Mississippi 35.2*
    Texas 34.3*
    Oklahoma 30.0*
    Arkansas 29.3*
    Louisiana 27.1*
    Arizona 26.6*
    Alabama 26.2
    Kentucky 24.8
    South Carolina 24.6

    BOTTOM
    Vermont 6.7
    New Hampshire 7.1
    Maine 10.0
    Massachusetts 10.6
    Connecticut 10.6

As well as rates for domestic homicide, women’s pay differential, and property crime – one could go on with all sorts of measures of human misery – all of which were starkly and vastly more common in places like Wyoming, South Carolina, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas – you know, conservative, Republican paradises, where the culture is overwhelmingly religious and conservative, and things like education languish. Places where god-delusion is epidemic, where anti-Sharia laws are passed and regulations banning human embryo parts in food gain wide support. Places where brown skin is cause for institutionalized ‘papers, please’ pass laws reminiscent of fascist states everywhere. Places that produced Jefferson Beauregard Sessions and James Inhofe and Rick Perry, Dick Cheney and George Bush, Fort Sumpter and Philadelphia Mississippi, the Klan and the Southern Strategy, David Duke and James Dobson, the Southern Baptists and Liberty University and Oral Roberts University, share cropping and embryonic personhood.

Your response? That the mayors of the first, second and tenth largest cities in South Carolina are Democrats.

That’s it? That’s all you got?
    You are pathetic.

    ****

Your reply is not worthy of response, but I’ll do it anyway as I sip my first cuppa coffee.

You have not made any point, much less one meriting your juvenile KABLAMMO! (My sympathies for your friend in the hospital – both for their illness and for the suffering they must endure every time you visit)

Roger may have said what you claim regarding evidence (though your generalized and relentless untrustworthiness leaves me skeptical), but I didn’t, and if you go making outrageous claims, you need to back it up with arguments and fact – something you never do, and certainly have not done this time.

Why? Likely because you have no argument. You are a tired and whiny mouthpiece for the right-wing, an obnoxious and droning cheerleader for the worst in America, for forced-birth misogyny, for know-nothing religiosity, for all the failed ‘ideas’ of wingnuttistan, brought to us by ALEC, the NRA, Focus on the Family, your preacher and the Republican Party.

So, on this glorious Sunday morning, go fuck yourself, preferably amid Clouds O’Glory so the view is obscured and we don’t have to watch.

When I was a little kid growing up in San Diego, the summertime brought all sorts of interesting troubles. My stepdad took to waking up in the middle of the night to run into the kitchen with this giant home made flyswatter thing he’d made with a broom handle and flat chunk of thin PVC with holes drilled into it, and it was exactly like that with the cockroaches. Snap the light switch and the floor would be covered with them and he’d run around smashing as many as he could.
He’d only get a minute or so before they’d scatter away, but he’d probably kill a couple thousand in that time.

We finally figured out that spreading TSP under the house and soaking it down with the hose was a pretty good way to cut down on the numbers, but it didn’t solve the whole problem.

Even with dramatic reductions in pregnancy, birth and abortion rates among all racial and ethnic groups, disparities between black, white and Hispanic teens persist. After peaking in the early 1990s, the teen pregnancy rate dropped by 37% among Hispanics, 48% among blacks and 50% among non-Hispanic whites; yet the rates among black and Hispanic teens remain 2–3 times as high as that of non-Hispanic white teens. There were also considerable disparities in birth and abortion rates. The birthrates in 2008 among black and Hispanic teens, as well as Hispanic teens’ abortion rate, were twice the rates among whites; the abortion rate for black teens was four times that of whites.

Facts, something lost on Lib the moron.

    Fail. Just sad, pathetic fail.

It is of course Democrats’ fault, because of all the liberals in Charleston, and because Columbia is 51.27% White, or something, that Nevada, Oklahoma and Arkansas lead the nation in divorce rates. Or something.

Spin, spin, spin. Puddles, you got nothin’.

Have you considered the possibility that states where there is sanctioned ignorance regarding birth control and rabid hostility to comprehensive women’s health might underlie the epidemic of teen pregnancy in Republican Wonderlands like Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona? No, of course not, that would make Baby Jeebus cry.

And what about the Sanctity of Marriage ™? How is it that Arkansas, Oklahoma and Idaho lead the nation in divorce? Here is the right-wing National Center for Policy analysis, dedicated to

develop and promote private, free-market alternatives to government regulation and control, solving problems by relying on the strength of the competitive, entrepreneurial
    private sector.

    saying…

Bible Belt states, in contrast, are dominated by fundamentalist Protestant denominations that proclaim the sanctity of marriage but generally do not want to estrange churchgoers who do divorce.

No state has been more embarrassed by the divorce problem than Oklahoma.

See your own fiendish free market peeps blaming the hypocrisy of fundamentalist religion on the high divorce rate.

    Sucks to be you, sorry.

Checking before leaving and we see the latest in Lib the Moron insanity. WTF is this gibberish? Notice how this idiot skips over facts? And he calls my post a FAIL?

Well that’s why he’s Lib the Moron! Did he check Planned Parenthood sites. Why are blacks on 13% of the population while they have 35%+ of the abortion procedures. Where is Al and Jesse?

Damn this moron is an idiot. In Oklahoma alone 13% of the population is black yet they have 36% of the abortions.

Remember since 1973 40+ Million babies aborted. CDC estimates 65% of those abortions are minority based.

Al Gore would have been president!

Oh, my, Puddy, who still hasn’t answered my question regarding new Republican policy proposals, thinks he can blame Pelosi and Reid for debt growth. I doubt Puddy can read a graph, but most other folks can:

In 2006, when Democrats took control of Congress, spending actually slowed down. Puddy forgets what actually happened, substituting in it stead a pure fantasy of his own creation.

Puddy’s now had three opportunities to tell us what Republicans plan to do that’s different from what they always plan to do. And crickets are chirping.

Like the State of Texas? It’s doing just fine shutting down itself. A place like that can’t help but shut down itself.

ALEC is too busy maximizing the profits of its masters to bother with MM. That takes priority. Otherwise, please

    4. The Horror! The Horror!

We’re getting a first look at how awful a Rmoney presidency would be:

“Reducing government deficits Mitt Romney’s way would mean less money for health care for the poor and disabled and big cuts to nuts-and-bolts functions such as food inspection, border security and education.

“Romney also promises budget increases for the Pentagon, above those sought by some GOP defense hawks, meaning that the rest of the government would have to shrink even more.”

Where have we seen this script before?

Something dramatic is happening in Europe: Ordinary citizens are overthrowing conservative governments that tried to make workers and pensioners pay for the excesses and abuses of the rich by inflicting austerity programs on them — and not just in Greece, Italy, Spain, and France, but all over th Euro Zone:

“The Dutch finance minister has flown home early from an International Monetary Fund meeting to discuss the future of austerity measures torpedoed by euro-skeptic lawmakers …

Jan Kees de Jager arrived home Sunday saying “he still plans to submit a 2013 budget to the European Union by April 30, despite a political crisis that is widely expected to force the Dutch government to resign ….”

@87. I heard a sound clip of Prez Clinton on Sirius last week.
I paraphrase what he said: “we need to decide how much government we want and how to pay for that government. That’s what adults do.”
Seems that many grass roots and ordinary citizens want to to have government services and don’t want austerity measures.
Have you read much on how the ordinary citizens want to pay for this?
