    Of course about 30% of the folks will eat that up like it is the second coming of Christ, but what it will really show is the GOP simply can’t lead and it will probably sway those that were on the fence about the GOP to never vote for the party that wants to roll up the carpet and turn isolationist.

    That’s actually not a constructive or effective strategy, because it assumes they have a learning curve. Certainly, this line of thinking shouldn’t extend to giving them the nuclear football to play with.

    I agree somewhat. Sure about 30% of them do not posses the ability to learn, that has been proven by the fact they elected Trump and thought a billionaire would look out for the common man.

    GOP media pimps are spending this weekend laying the groundwork for their inevitable humiliation over WALLLL!!!.

    According to most of them, as of 9am EST this morning, WALLLL!!! never actually even existed and was never even a real thing or anything at all, ever.

    As of this morning the GOP has never ever ever ever demanded WALLLL!!, or really anything more than “some kind of enhanced border crossing restriction or limitation” which could take the form of “additional fencing”, “other kinds of physical barriers” or even just “enhanced security”.

    All this will certainly make it easier for Ann Coulter later on when she will declare victory and go radio silent when WALLLL!!! becomes a silly distant memory “made up” by “the FAKE media”. But it will also probably further delay and cripple CR negotiations since at this point absolutely nobody has any idea what Republicans are after here… including Republicans.
    I hope all those CBP agents remember that they missed a mortgage payment over a disorganized cluster-fuck of a Republican political stunt.

    @32 Sure it worked to keep horses out. But Trump wants to keep people of color out and his stupid “wall” or “steel poles so they can see through it” won’t do as intended. If Trump was serious about complete border protection and not targeting people of color, he would demand both our north and south borders be closed until they are completely secured.

    Oh yeah, don’t forget the US Coast Guard isn’t getting paid either since they are part of the Dept of Homeland Security and not paid through the Defense Dept. Just a short boat ride from Canada to Seattle. Lots of rich dark skinned folks just north of the border.
