Dan Robinson spews:
I am tempted to say that it is an east coast city, not for any particular reason. Could also be Chicago.
Lauramae spews:
Central Park West, NYC–Anthony Weiner story
Lee spews:

It’s not NYC. Not on the east coast at all…
BA1959 spews:
Vancouver, BC – do you want to know the specific name of the building too?
It’s on the north side, near the water, of the commercial core of downtown.
BA1959 spews:
Marine building specifically…
Geoduck spews:
BA1959 is right, here’s the link for anyone who wants to see it. Presumably the story in question is the death of Glee star Cory Monteith, though it ironically appears that in the shot above, that crane is in the process of building the hotel in which his body was found. Here’s the presumably more up-to-date Google Maps version.
Lauramae spews:
meh…it was a guess.
Lee spews:

Good win! Thanks Geoduck for getting the link. That hole in the ground became the hotel that Cory Monteith died in recently.
@7
Wasn’t a bad guess, it looks like an older east coast style building. I knew that would make this one tough.

I totally whiffed on that one. I didn’t have time to look around city cores on the east coast.
I might have had a chance it if I had given half a shit about Glee or any of the actors in it.
milwhcky spews:
Nice job, BA1959.
I stopped looking after the NYC answer was posted. Serves me right for not “playing to the whistle”. I have no interest in Glee either, but I would’ve eventually looked at Vancouver.
I’ll be on the road this weekend (Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa) and won’t be able to play in the next contest. Good luck everyone this weekend.
