Finally, we’re going to get to the most important post imaginable! Why are people yanking the stop cord on the bus when it has already been pulled? I get if you’re absent minded or something, but then when it doesn’t make a sound, instead of looking up to see the lights show a stop has been requested, just pulling the cord more and more aggressively. Maybe it’s just new bus riders in the cold snap.

6:32: Here comes the bullshit “dangerous southern border” part of the speech.

6:42: Let’s see…Drumpf says 300 girls rescued from 1000 pimps!?! That is a very large pimp to girl ratio!

6:45: Drumpf describes his wonderful “barrier”. Did he get some funding from Mexico yet?

6:46: “Walls work and walls save lives”. That should convince the Mexicans.

6:48: “More women serving in Congress than anytime before.” Drumpf does get sine credit for that, but not how he thinks!

6:50: “First ever program focusing on economic empowerment for women in developing countries.” Bullshit. Obama and Clinton had such programs. Hell, Shrub probably did as well.

6:52: USMCS is pretty much a slightly modernized NAFTA.

6:56: Drumpf declares a war on “global freeloading”.

7:01: Drumpf is all about paid family leave. We’ll see how long that lasts.

7:06: Yay for more nuclear weapons! “Mush Room Cloud! Mush Room Cloud!”

7:16: Drumpf says “radical regime of Iran” as if he is trying to convince people (and himself) it is true.

7:23: The State of Our Union is 75 years ago.

7:29: Drumpf gives a stirring speech asking us to chose greatness. Tomorrow he will Tweet something about “Cryin’ Chuck”.

7:40: Ummm…happy lunar new year?

A cold front will grip the ENTIRE nation Tuesday night, as the President* takes to the stage and delivers a postponed state of the union address. Please join us as the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally debriefs, and fact checks the tsunami of effluvial matter likely to ensue. The “big chill” starts at 6pm, so stop by then if you care to watch it. Or, if you are participating in the boycott, stop by later.

We meet every Tuesday at the Roanoke Park Place Tavern, 2409 10th Ave E, Seattle. You’ll find us in the back room of the pub. We usually start at about 8pm.

Hey, Seattle and anywhere that has levies on the ballot, vote for your damb levies. The way we fund education in Washington is better than a lot of states, but it still relies too heavily on local funding. Still, it is how we fund education. So if you want structural change statewide, call your legislators. But fund education in the mean time.
